Oxala House — Hotel in Djerba Island

Stayed a week at the Oxala House in January 2014. Very lovely more natural setting with beautiful architecture and accessories. Villa was very comfy and had everything we needed. Wifi could have been stronger and some of the furniture and flooring was a little dirty. Host spoke some English but my travel partner also spoke another dialect of Arabic so we had no problems. The on-site staff guy was very attentive and nice, but sometimes a little strange. He only speaks arabic but you can always call the host for help any time of the day. I really enjoyed being able to walk the farm seeing the animals fruit and veggies in the morning and socializing with the cute cat and Mr. Batuta the donkey. It's a great location that is not too far but is far enough away from the busier areas. The locals around the farm can take you on a horse ride on the beach. Bonjour, habituée des lieux (Oxala House et Dar Gaia) depuis 10 ans , je ne peux que renouveler ma gratitude au propriétaire Zouheir, hôte exceptionnel de gentillesse et vulgarisateur des bons tuyaux locaux en tout genre. Son réseau est exceptionnel et de grande qualité. La résidence est au calme, juste en face de mer, Houmt Souk a 10 minutes en voiture , loin des complexes touristiques, une piscine, une piste accolée à la route pour marcher avec le coucher du soleil. Sur place une équipe extraordinaire : Zouheir bien sûr qui prend soin de tous ses guests, Saida qui nous prépare de beaux apparts toujours nikels et Hamza.
