Hotel Club Thapsus — Hotel in Maghreb

Im not really used to write reviews specifically this long but this time i pledged myself to tell others about my experience in case someone can relate or help him avoid wasting money in this horrible hotel.

Where should i start , i personally found some horrible reviews about this hotel and was like it can not be that bad and it must be some rare bad situations or experience.

But what i found is even worst , first of all the check in drama , you only get your keys and arm bands after 15:30 , with people fighting and screaming at the reception .

Then if you’re lucky to get tour keys , to go and find unclean rooms , the floor was still full with beach sand even the towels where not frech you can obviously see spots on it , but they always try not to change them due lack of towels the lady said. Then i found broken closet doors, tv with no remote only one power outlet under the tv , where the fridge is plugged in, so you have yo choose between charging your phone or fridge .

So as a good guest tryed asking at the reception for cleaning service and other stuff like soap and towels, but unfortunately the answer was disappointing: they said cleaning is once a week haha and towels if you are lucky maybe in 3 to 4 days you get new ones , soap you can forget it she said .

So now to the fun part : food , restaurant was overfilled with people and was not so many varieties, cheap and tasteless how i personally find it , not mention the one time rotten fisch they gave us , pictures And hotel descriptions are no where near the reality.

Pool closes at 6 , no beach access after 20:00 you have to exit the hotel and walk 3 km around it to get there, animation 6/10 , big personal shortage in restaurant, bar, and pool . Everyone answers with a attitude when you ask for something, i personally felt like begging for service not like payed for the service i should get.

Tryed asking around other guests locals and other nationalities , 8 out of 10 said they will never come here again and regret it .

Worst hotel I have ever seen in the world: Please don't throw your money against a horrible stay. AVOID it!!! There is no air conditioning in the entire hotel from 5am till 2pm. That is a rule you can't change even you complain to your travel agent. You need either to sweat inside the room or look for a nearby place outside the hotel if you can't resist to high temperature. We can't speak about reception where the staff are using manual fans to get a little of air. Old rooms, dirty place, you can either charge your mobile or watch the TV as one blug only is available. You need to pay 20 dinars to get the remote control to watch the TV. You may see a lake of water under your feet while having a shower due to water drainage issues. No variety of foods in restaurants. Grilled chicken is made on daily basis. You may see waiters taking all the items from your table although you're still didn't finish your food. You will never see any drinks or food on 10am/9pm sharp due to high speed in collecting the items back to kitchen. On checkout day you need to get very ready at least two hours before 12pm in order to leave the hotel. It's your bad luck if you meet Miss ARWA the checkout responsible. She's such a rude lady and very aggressive person until she will oblige you to pay for a dayuse. As a strategy she will tell you that there's no one from management in the hotel and she's the one who's deciding here. Of course, next step she will call the security manager who will start speaking about reporting the issue to police and paying a penalty. It's really a mess you may live in the event you had the unlucky chance to meet her. Please avoid it. Don't you lose your money and spoil your vacation. Bad luck for those who have been trapped as victims of a bad treatment in...

Úžasné místo pro rodinnou dovolenou, menší resort s klidnou atmosférou na nejkrásnější pláži Tuniska. Personál hotelu velice milý a usměvavý, strava dostačující, tématické večeře, pokoje s výhledem na moře doporučuji. Krásná pláž a absolutně čisté moře je velké plus hotelu Thapsus. Jsme zde naprosto spokojeni.

Amazing place for a family holiday

A smaller resort with a peaceful atmosphere on the most beautiful beach in Tunisia. The hotel staff is very nice and smiling, the food is sufficient, themed dinners, I recommend the rooms with a sea view. A beautiful beach and absolutely clean sea is a big plus of the Thapsus hotel. We are completely satisfied here.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday, which was created by the wonderful staff from the young ladies at the reception to the security on the beach and Mr. Ali Baba, for their kind and family approach. A big thank you goes to the friendly animators and their boss, for a very kind and caring approach and a great performance.

A big thank you goes to the lifeguard from the pool, he supervises all the guests and especially the little swimmers every day.

The food was excellent, there was a lot to choose from. Although the rooms are of an older type, they were cleaned every day. The beach and sea is perfect, kept clean and very well guarded. The bartender at the beach bar is a professional and always greeted us with a SMILE, saying goodbye was hard.....
