Palmiye Royale Palace — Hotel in 1. Murat Mahallesi

Great location near Erasta Mall (5 min), Outlet Margi (5 min), lots of terraces. On the room side: excellent bed, cleanliness, bathroom with everything you need, clean. In July: even though I was with a 9-year-old child and chose a double room (103), he slept excellently in the sofa bed. In August: I couldn't find a double room and took a family room (104). Mistake. Unused extra bed (child restless when sleeping and sometimes falls out of bed. The extendable armchair in the double room is better for us. The breakfast part: delicious, well prepared, beautifully presented. Welcoming staff, ready to help with recommendations. Free but small parking. Recommendation: leave the car in the parking lot after 16:00. Visit the distant locations until lunch (15 minutes by car Grand Bazaar (with the surrounding streets) and the Selimiye Mosque. For home shopping, it depends on everyone: I preferred Migros (5Migros, MMigros, MMMigros), Tegra (close to Erasta AVM), Bizim Toptan, etc. Behind the Margi Hotel/Outlet, a covered bazaar (market and things) will be restored. I filled the car on the way back and I wouldn't have room to write about the prices (this depends on if you know what to choose). Edirne beats Ruse by a long way in terms of price and product quality (as it is still advertised that people go shopping in Ruse). Economy and near the Mall = Palmiye Royal Hotel; don't look at money with not spectacular Outlet (doesn't compare to Istanbul) =...

The room we checked in to had BED BUGS!!! I took a picture and showed it to the receptionist, who did not even apologise. He said he will change our room, despite I kept saying I want to leave. Since he refused to refund us and we were tired from 10 hours of driving, we took it. The new room seemed okay, but when I looked at the mattress, just in case there are no more bugs, I've seen how filthy it was! Stains from cigarettes and who knows what else. We went to the reception where the receptionist, Barış refused to refund us even if we said we are leaving, we booked a different hotel and showed him all pictures. He said there is no manager there only himself, couldn't even provide us with the contact for the manager to discuss this horrible experience. AVOID THIS PLACE...

Despite reserving a room there was an issue when we arrived. Instead of trying to be accommodating, the receptionist was insiting on giving us a much larger room than we required for an additional 50% increase of the original room price. My attempts at explaining that our disabled daughter sleeps with us in the twin bed, fell on death ears and was not interested. The original size room was available, infact the hotel had plenty of rooms available (said the receptionist)

At 1am in the morning and having driven for 12 hours, i was not an experience i was expecting. Or looking to endure an argument. I departed and went to another hotel.

The receptionist is not a disabled person friendly.
