If you are a tourist, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! The hotel is on a road with like eight other hotels with the same style to them(red flag!!). The room we booked was a decent size however, there is visible mold behind the door. The sound insulation in this building is HORRIBLE, nothing is better than being awoken by someone arguing in the room next to yours. There is also some underground club across the street that plays loud music at night and is super annoying.
The Room: The door for the hotel is NOT secure enough, it is so light and can easily be broken down with enough force, there was also a two-inch gap at the bottom of the door and you would hear EVERYTHING and see light from the hallway.
The Beds: It was as if I was sleeping on cardboard, the mattress and box-spring underneath were so worn that I was sleeping in the shape of the letter ' V ' my rear end was practically touching the ground. The pillows were overstuffed and super uncomfortable.
The Washroom: Literally unusable when we arrived, the toilet did not have buttons on it to flush("Maintenance" needed to come) and the lighting in the washroom was very bad. The sink was not properly secured to the wall as well. The shower drain was also very poor. Some of the branded soap was literally from the hotel down the street...
The Location: As a tourist trying to explore Mersin, this area and the hotels in it is the WORST place to be. It is about a 20minute walk to the sea, and also a 20+ minute walk to get to anything remotely interesting to do. It is too far from anything worth seeing/doing in Mersin.
Overall: Stay away from this hotel and surrounding ones, do not be fooled by the photos. Getting closer to the center of the city is worth the...
Read moreStayed in room 203, the 3 stars are mainly for the breakfast. Everything else will only get a 1 star. The bathroom was falling to bits and looked dated the toilet seat was broken, the cupboard was also broken under the sink. Only 1 big towel and 2 small towels given between 3 people to share. No floor towel given for the bathroom so resulted in us slipping. ||The room itself again nothing to shout about it was basic. ||The internet is definitely not high fast speed… we struggled to even send a message through WhatsApp. ||The staff were really miserable and grumpy. ||No tea coffee facilities in the room, 1 small carton of water in room which makes me think that it may have been left by the previous occupants. ||We didn’t pay much for the rooms as we had booked 2 rooms and may be that’s why the staff were the way they were and the standard of the room was soo low. But having been to other hotels where we have also paid less money we have never experienced such a service. ||There isn’t much to do around the hotel, there were no coffee shops etc and the hotel itself only had a tea facility in reception which again we were not told about. | There are better hotels around this hotel so would advise people to stay in those and pay a...
Read moreI booked this based on other reviews and it being close to the bus station. Please note it is not near the bus station. They moved the main bus station so you'll need to pay 35 TL by taxi to get to it. The area that the hotel is in is old and run down. There is nothing much of interest nearby but quiet at all times. Shopping mall cost us at least 30 TL each way by taxi to get to and from.||||Room was very basic. Only bonus was comfortable bed. Terrible pillows, the tiniest bathroom, toilet seat that fell off each time and curtains half hanging. You get what you pay for the price.||||Staff were friendly and helpful.||||PS: don't eat at the local restaurant close by (same street with a smoking area and TV Outside) that you'll see first off. I got food poisoning and my friend said the...
