From the time we arrived we felt very welcomed by all the staff. We met Songul at the reception that speaks Arabic and she helped us all along our journey. The lady at the customer service also was helpful and smiling all the day. We arrived around lunch time so we went to the buffet restaurant and then checked in the room. |Room:|The large room that we booked was good with a nice partial view on the beach and the pools. It consists of 1 double bed, 1 single and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was not very comfortable for someone to sleep on. The amenities in the room were good: the toiletries were nice and the fridge was replenished every day with drinks, chocolates and chips. The light sleepers will find difficulty to sleep in this hotel, first of all the walls are not soundproof and second the people in the hallways do not stop speaking, laughing and running during the night. I suggest installing a soundproof door between the main door of the room and the bedroom itself. This will minimize the sound. The AC was working very well and the beds were comfortable. The room cleaning was not very well done each day. It was cleaned superficially. |Restaurants:|Buffet restaurant: |Breakfast time: Many choices of pastries, vegetables cut on the spot, good selection of cheese and deli, all kind of breads and buns, live cooking stations of eggs, omelet, fries, churros, crepe, pancake, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Fresh orange, carrot and other type of juices were a plus. Of course coffee machines, tea and other hot drinks are available.|Lunch time: The lunch was not as expected. It had different kind of Turkish dishes with rice, meat and chicken but it is repetitive every day. Not many choices to the fussy eaters. Kids only had spaghetti. It would be nice to add items to the salad bar also. Ice cream, deserts and fruits were tasty and always available.|Dinner time: It was good almost every night. Live stations available: Grilled meat, Kebab, fish, shrimps, Doner, turkey, stir fry noodles, pizza, fries, boiled corn, fried calamari, fired onion rings … |We didn’t like the fish at all in our whole experience, a lot of bones in them. |On Saturday, it was victory day theme, it was a feast night and we loved the ambiance and the different kind of food available.|It was always too hot at the biggest section of the main restaurant inside. The outside area, if it is not too hot, you must sit away from the grill odors to be comfy. |There is a small section for kids to sit in and small buffet. |Other restaurants: We loved the pasta restaurant near the adult pool. Too bad it was closed on Sunday. |The snack restaurant near the beach was lovely. It serves burgers, ships, wedges, fajitas, doner kebab, fried chicken and drumstick… I loved the Liberty burger. Also, nearby they prepare wooden pizza so yummy. Pay attention to the opening and closing time to this restaurant.|The snack area near the kids’ pool was lovely also with freshly made waffles, donuts, patisserie, and small sandwiches and of course the ice cream stick fridge available here and near the beach.|Water fridges are everywhere; drinks are served in multiple bars with nuts and tortilla ships. A coffee corner is also available. I loved the iced coffee with caramel.|What I didn’t like was the lack of waiters on rollers near the kids’ pool. They came once or twice the whole day and they get confused about the orders. We went and brought what we need almost the whole time.|We had one time a la carte restaurant but didn’t have the time to use it. |Pools: Kids pool where we stayed the whole time was very well shaded also pay attention to the timing of the slides. The biggest slides were 12+, no one told us before about that. The smaller kids should bring a bracelet to use those slides. The most important thing that is very dangerous is that the floor near the pools is very slippery and dangerous. Slippery socks are needed the whole time. It would be good to install the blue rugs around the whole pools. |The negative point about this hotel is that they are not strict about the towel rules around the pool. People go down and take the good spots in the early morning; starting 7 AM, and reserve them with the towels that they took at the end of the day before. This is not acceptable; we came once in the afternoon and couldn’t find a place to sit. This must be solved. |Entertainment and activities: I loved the aqua gym activities and sports in the morning. We watched 3 night shows: Aladdin was the best. Some scenery and acts gets repetitive in other shows but they are good.|We didn’t use the kids’ club facilities. The playground is nice and shaded. |The hotel location is good, 25 minutes from the airport, but no beautiful shopping stores around. The bus stop is in front of the hotel. You can take the LC07A bus to Terracity, the nearest shopping mall with lot of local and international brands. You can visit also the old town. You can buy return tickets for the bus for 3 Euros from the shop in the hotel but I had them from the market shop outside the hotel. |One night we took the taxi from the hotel to The Land of legend and it was quite expensive 100 Euros return for 8 people. However, we received a car that fit 6 only but it was solved for the return. |I recommend this hotel for families with younger children but if you like to be active the whole day and love to party at night, this hotel is...
Read moreMy thoroughly honest review from my recent stay at Liberty Lara- be warned it is long ( but positive!) ||From the moment we arrived - quite late around 22:15 we were treated amazingly. Our bags were brought in straight for us and taken up to our room. Our room was upgraded to our surprise and we were given a family room which was really spacious and perfect for two adults and 2 children. Whilst filling out some forms we were brought over some drinks of our choice, a champagne, a beer and some apple juice for the kids. We were quite hungry after travelling a long day so we’re pleased to see that there was a late night food service where we were able to grab a few snacks and drinks before heading to bed.||Food-||The hotel has so many choices for eating. The main dining room that had breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner and late evening snacks. There was a pasta bar that served fresh pasta cooked to order which was so lovely, and right next to the bar so could enjoy a drink and a sit down.|There’s a snack bar that serves fresh burgers, kebabs, salads etc made to order as well as a little help yourself window with fried chicken and chips. Next door there is also a pizza station that cooks pizzas made to order which you choose your own toppings.||There is also a seperate snack place that does ice cream, waffles and doughnuts in the early afternoon , then late afternoon Sandwhiches and a patisserie. ||In the evenings there’s also the main resturaunt where you can sit indoors or outdoors- and they have a noddle station which again is fresh to order, as well as lots of grilled meat and fish outside, plus the whole buffet inside too. ||We tried 2 of the al a carte restaurants- the Turkish we had free with our stay and then we paid €15 euro pp ( the kids were free ) for the Thai. Definitely worth the price as we had 6 courses included in this. ||Entertainment-||I had seen mixed reviews about the evening entertainment so was a bit worried before I came. I really shouldn’t have been, the entertainment was great for us. A main show every night in the amphitheater ( dance groups, circus, etc) and then usually a DJ or karaoke/ bingo etc at the snack bar. There is also a disco that opens late but can’t comment on this as it’s adults only and we were with our young children. We thoroughly enjoyed it- my youngest daughter especially loved the dancing at 8:30 every night before the show would start. ||Pools-||There were 3 pools, an adults only, the main pool and then the kids pool. ||We sat around the kids pool however for people who want a bit more peace and quiet the adults pool is separate and 16+ only. ||There is also the main pool that is very large and travels down alot of the resort. All great, and in the main pool there’s activities throughout the day like water polo and Zumba. ||There first half of the week we managed to get sun beds by the kids pool easily after 11pm, but towards the end of the week we noticed it was a bit busier and by 9 many had already been taken so started to come to the pool a little earlier to get a space. ||Beach-||The hotel has beach cabanas that look amazing. Unfortunately we weren’t able to try one as we knew the kids wouldn’t sit still long enough, but for someone wanting some luxury they looked great. The beach is corned off private to the hotel. It’s not much of a sandy beach though for playing and sandcastles, and the sunbeds get snatched up very fast. ||Kids club-||Both of my kids are young so they didn’t really take part in any activities, but they loved the park and every day they would do face painting which my eldest loved. The ladies were so sweet too and really patient with my 2 year old when she was asking what she wanted. ||Staff-||The staff absolutely made this hotel. I wish I had taken people’s names, but the two that stood out was a lovely man probably in his mid to late 20s who we would see in the breakfast service every morning. He made so much effort with my two young daughters , my oldest (2) used to hold his hand and walk round the dining room. ||The female lifeguard on duty every day too was so lovely, she would even sometimes get in the pool and play with my girls when other life guards were present. They loved this so much. ||All the staff were friendly and would speak to you. Everyone is very accommodating. ||If I had to say a couple of negatives- and these are so minor and will not stop us from booking again but just something to look out for-||If you want to do a photography package ( they will come round and ask, along with the sauna) be warned there is a minimum spend. The man told us it was only €15 for a digital photo and so we thought it would be nice to get a couple, which we did communicate. When we came to view them it turned out there was a minimum spend of €150 and some of the packages were upwards of €1000. We had not budgeted for this and therefore left without buying any. Had they have been more upfront in the first place we wouldn’t have wasted our time or the photographers.|The shop is also quite expensive- I bought a souvenir snow globe in the evening and when I went to pay it was over £13 , which in most countries would have been at least half for the size. Maybe it was something I could have bartered on price and probably would try next time, who knows.||Over all however I would rate this hotel 10/10. I’m already looking to rebook for next year! Thank you...
Read moreThis is my honest opinion, p.s. I don't drink so the absolutley dire entertainment wasn't for me so no i wasn't drunk at all which is probably why im not blinded by this place, firstly the hotel lobby is the loudest I've ever experienced, if you have an excursion and want to get your head down before say 1am/2am you've got no chance, you can hear every slam of every door all night long, ive never stayed in a place like it, its like paper walls and the rooms should be nowhere near the lobby in my opinion - but the layout is the layout and you only find out when you get here of course so you can love or hate it and i for one didnt like it at all, i should of known when i booked something that looks like grenfell tower that it was going terrible, but you live and learn...
Secondly the restaurant and tables are filthy, the staff are some of the rudest inattentive staff members I've ever experienced in an all inclusive hotel, just vile my girlfriend asked for a hot drink whilst we were sat and they just pointed as the machines, might as well cook your own meal as well as it wouldn't be overcooked disgusting cuts of meat if you done it yourself... I don't know if it's the time of the year but I don't believe their isn't enough staff to cope with the amount of people here, I understand it's out of season but at least wipe the tables for gods sake and also put a bloody spoon down on the table, its simple, knife, fork & spoon, bloody hell... also if you believe what they offer in terms of food choice to be 5 star then you haven't really got out much, because the food I thought was awful - the only plus side was the salads, really tasty as most of the veg/salad is overseas its always nicer as its grown naturally out here rather than under lights etc as done in the UK, the omelette was lovely however you need to que for a good half hour for it all whilst people are trying to grab stuff that's situated near the omelette station, it didn't make sense, move any grab and go food away from the que, how hard can that be? Oh and also if you do start laughing and joking you are told to be quiet throughout the day but at night just go wild no one gives a shit 🤣, I have never ever been told to be quiet when we are just conversating and laughing, we don't drink as I've mentioned above so this was for me extremely rude, myself and my partner are quiet natured people and we found that ridiculous. The ala carte restaurants mentioned when booking were unavailable, there were 2 options, turkish or italian, where are the others?
The beach is one if the most disgusting beaches Ive ever been on, absolutely covered in litter, plastics all over the place, seems like staff of each hotel just don't care about nature and keeping things clean and tidy also there are no wind breakers and no covers over the beds whatsoever, the cabanas are not available and look under construction i can imagine they will be ready for the summer but why mention all of this when they sell you the holiday in off season, it's a bit of a scam to be honest, also the slides are never on, pools not heated and are ridiculously cold.
We went to the green canyon day out, was really nice to be honest and I was one of the only ones on the boat to jump in, because when in Rome why not haha! So yeah we had a good day there.
I could go on but honestly guys, if you want to know where there are some real 5* hotels just private message me and I will happily forward on details.
I wouldn't come back to the liberty if you paid me to come back here, it's a shit hole. Simple as that.
P.s. look at the reply, no accountability, no backbone. Another reason I would sway people away, basically calling me a...
