From the moment we arrived (4 adults 1 child) we have been met with disappointment. First of all, we were ‘greeted’ by two luggage men who took us to the wrong room (we booked 2 separate rooms) but after telling them they got the rooms mixed up, they seemed fed up, so we offered to take our own luggage, but they were adamant they have to, as it’s their job. This was brushed off as it was early morning and we traveled for many hours. The man working in the salon was disgusting, we went into the salon to ask about the pricing, but he could not stop touching my partners sisters hair and face, we reported this to customer service in which they seemed unbothered and did not assure us. For the gross part of this holiday, the multiple pieces of poo in the main pool and baby pool, 3 days in a row. I can understand an accident, it’s not the hotels fault, it was the handling. on the first occasion the lifeguard was told by us about it, where he reluctantly put a bit of tape around a small area of the pool, which in my opinion, the whole pool should have been shut down, as the rope wasn’t visible to everyone. As his shift has ended, we began taking matters into our own hands and we warned everyone in the pool to get out, they all complied and warned each other, though this was the life guards job. We warned customer relations about the poo still in the pool and they said they will handle this immediately. In the evening, we went to the entertainment at 9:30pm and the pool was STILL containing poo, and even a floating nappy, this was 6+ hours ahead of the incident. The next day, it was cleared up, but it took multiple family’s to complain, in which the response was ‘this happens several times a day, what can we do, get used to it’ said by assistant manager of customer relations, the incident happened again for the next two days in which the same handling happened again, on the second time, a woman actually vomited near the pool, which customer relations were aware about. A few days later the vomit then dried up and was never cleaned (it was never cleaned for the remainder of our stay). I do not blame any of the outdoor cleaners. I just feel as if the grounds are not taken care of by any grounds management and there is no communication between departments. There should be someone inspecting the outside area every day, which does not happen. After all of this, as a pregnant woman, I didn’t feel safe to use that pool properly. For the rooms, the wall paper bubbles, poor ceiling job, no mattress cover and the wobbly towel holder in the bathroom, I hate nitpicking rooms, but for the price that was paid for our stay, the rooms do not match 5 stars, THIS IS NOT AIMED TO OUR CLEANER!! She was lovely and positive, it was the rooms quality and design that is poor. We were on the first floor, and directly outside is a fairground with repetitive music every evening, and kids screaming, why build it right outside peoples rooms?? I had no wifi or mobile data in my room for the whole visit and had to do my work in the lobby bar, which obviously they didn’t welcome me to. The outdoor staff working on the food stalls and bars, night entertainment, spa (inside and outside) staff, holiday entertainment reps (especially Ibu, he is so kind and good at his job) cleaners, the restaurant/outdoor waiters and waiters on roller blades were amazing, but so overworked!! All of these staff members made our negative experience a little bit better, so I really don’t want this review to go against them.

Disappointing Experience DO NOT RECOMMEND Environment: My partner and I who are people of colour —were really looking forward to our stay. We expected luxury, relaxation, and a warm, welcoming environment at such an advertised international hotel. Unfortunately, what we experienced instead was deeply disappointing and, at times, outright uncomfortable. From the start, we noticed the constant stares. The uncomfortable stares whilst we were just walking along the vicinity of the hotels made the experience so uncomfortable. Initially, we brushed it off, thinking we might be overreacting, but as the days went on the hostility from both staff and other guests completely ruined the whole holiday. The worst part of the experience was the outright hostility from a few individuals. On a couple of occasions, we were spat at in public areas of the hotel. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works to create an environment where all guests feel valued and respected, regardless of their background. We personally wouldnt want to go back and we want to raise awareness where if you are anyone who is of any other background than Turkish Background to be aware of the treatment that you will have. Food: I’d rate the food a disappointing 3/10. While there was a variety of options available, the dishes were consistently bland and lacked any real flavor. For a 5-star hotel, we expected much better quality and attention to taste. It also made me have food poisoning a couple of days in a row. Room: The room walls were incredibly thin, to the point where we could clearly hear conversations from the neighboring rooms and even their TVs. This lack of soundproofing made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep, as we were kept awake throughout the night and woken up early in the morning. It was extremely frustrating and far from the level of comfort we expected from a 5-star hotel. Pls listen to the attached video, taken at 7am. Facilities: I understand that we visited during the off-season, between the end of summer and of winter, but it should have been made clear that nearly all facilities would be closed. Outside bar by the pool, food areas, beaches, beaches by the bar, theme park rides were all closed, it was 20 degrees in some days so it was perfectly good weather for it to be open. As a result, it felt like we weren’t getting the value we paid for. While I understand this might be typical for the season, there should have been more transparency about what would be unavailable. A detailed update about closed facilities prior to our arrival would have helped us set realistic expectations especially as we paid for it.

if this review can prevent anyone from booking this hotel, i will be relieved. ||||Within the first day, the man working in the salon, on the girls hair section was non stop stroking my partners 21 year old partners sisters hair, face and shoulders even though she was visibly uncomfortable, we only went to visit him to see his services, we never went back in due to his disgusting behaviour. When reporting him we were just told by customer relations ‘we will tell him next week when he’s in’ without taking notes or being even remotely shocked/ apologetic. ||||The food inside the main restaurant is not great, though the bakery and cakes are delicious, it’s obvious they reuse food, as cereals, nuts and crackers are very stale, as well as meat and eggs being served cold, which made almost all breakfasts dreadful and repetitive, not to mention the constant dirty plates and cups. There were also no nut allergy warnings on anything, the toppings for crepes and waffles are nuts and sprinkles, but i have noticed the nuts falling into the sprinkles, we have no nut allergies but i had to warn staff due to this being a health hazard for others. My partners mother is a pescatarian, she asked the chef if the noodles she wanted had any meat, they stated it only contained prawns, until she realised it also contained beef, after she was half way through, this made her feel exetremly unwell. We noticed very old, shrivelled olives in a bowl, being disguised by new olives put on top, as well as deli meats having fresh meat on top, but dried, old meat behind it. The restaurant is also very busy in the evenings, where we struggled to find a table to accommodate us all most nights. Which meant most nights we had to sit separately. ||||We were told by Tui that we will get a free 5 star restaurant experience of our choice once a week, only to be told it will be €25-35 per person when we arrived, as well as kids club activities sometimes costing money, arcade being expensive (€7 per person for bowling, which was a tiny alley) and tip boxes placed everywhere, it feels like a constant money grab. ||||Now, the worst part of this whole trip for me personally, was almost being denied service, due to my baby bump popping slightly out of my tan-kini vest top, I asked for a bowl of nuts so i can sit down and do my work in the lobby bar, the woman, aged 40s-50s looked disgusted in me for approaching the bar, and asked ‘where are you going?’ I replied with what my plans were, and she continued to indicate to my stomach and say i should not dress like that and to cover up. It was close to 40 degrees. I was utterly disgusted. My partner demanded to speak to the bar manager, where the manager attempted to gaslight us into thinking it’s because I am wearing a wet swimming costume, which i then proved I was not wet, it was 37 degrees and i’m 20+ weeks pregnant, it’s hot! My outfit was not inappropriate, it was a dry swimming vest top, but majority of my belly was covered by my fabric shorts, so the outfit was just a vest and shorts, there are constantly people sitting in the same bar in a towel and in damp costumes, why was I targeted? And when I asked if there was a dress code I should be following, he said no, though i said I would comply with it. Customer relations assistant manager, made this worse by stating they do have a dress code, yet the main customer relations manager said there never has been a dress code. Our room is the first floor next to the lobby bar, so to get anywhere I had to pass that bar every day, where I can feel the staff pointing and whispering. It was degrading, the customer relations manager offered us a new room to get us away from the bar, which is crazy, to move guests out of rooms to avoid staff?? That is not how you fix an issue. The Tui rep, a Turkish man called Amir was absolutely useless about our complaints, he shrugged, rolled his eyes, wrote nothing down, was not actively listening and not once apologised, instead, he tried to get sympathy from us as he’s ’only human and only so much he can do’. We did tell him we actually felt afraid to stay in this hotel, in which he didn’t reassure us. I must also mention the inappropriate behaviour of the man behind the lobby bar, who continued to ask for my number/ social media continuously with unprovoked chocolates and drinks, yet I was the one made to look inappropriate? ||||Later on the same day that we told our ||Tui rep, Amir we didn’t feel safe, my partners mum was assaulted by a large man, a guest, in front of her 8 and 21 year old daughters and her 7 year old friend and her family in an elevator. Tui had been warned that we did not feel safe earlier that day, customer relations was also told this, and then this had happened. When we told customer relations what has happened straight after the attack, they said they do not have cameras in the elevators, so they can not confirm the attack happened, even though six witnesses apart from our family came forward to say it did happen, the solution they first offered was for one of the customer relations staff to threaten the assaulter inside his room, which is just crazy and dangerous. Eventually, customer relations offered us to change hotels for free after this incident, finally feeling like we have been listened to and finally feeling as if we can finish our holiday on a high with still a week left, we as a family spoke to make a very quick decision that we wanted to take that offer on a different hotel. We came back in the morning to confirm we want to move hotels due to our safety, which then the customer relations manager told us they never offered us that and it’s something they never do. We were in a hotel with a man who attacked a mother infront of her child with no protection or validation from any staff. We could not report this attack to the police due to the hotel not complying to help, and not having the video footage, plus we just wanted to leave as soon as possible for our safety, which the hotel failed to do so anyway…||||The cat care is not good, I understand it is not their duty to care for all cats, but on a hotel that supposedly strides on cat care for the local homeless cats, most care comes from the guests of the hotel. I tried to stay with a new born kitten who was rejected by the mum, left in the middle of a small field of grass, I was not touching it, I was guarding it. I told customer relations to call for an animal rescue to come immediately, and they were reluctant to call them and looked annoyed at my request, when they came to the feild, I was told to back away, by the assistant manager of customer relations as the mum will come back with food it’s found, I assured them that is not how it works and that it needs immediate care and attention, or it will pass away. I assured them I was not touching the kitten in any way, and I had a safe distance, I was backing children off from touching it, I never received any thank you for making them aware for this poor kitten they showed no urgency or concern, they just left the kitten there and told me to leave and were treating the kitten like it was nothing. I was absolutely heartbroken, I felt helpless I could not call any animal rescue services due to my phone service, but they didn’t allow me to call them through their facilities. Luckily some kind people around the area were keeping an eye out and eventually the kitten was saved by a rescue. If this hotel somehow strides on cat care, but ignores a screaming newborn kitten and leave it to the residents to care for it, you should not be advocating yourself as cat friendly. Assistant manager of customer relations is responsible for that. As well as this, a young kitten (around 6/7 weeks) had a bad, gunky eye, a resident cleaned it everyday with warm water every day. ||||Now for the gross part of this holiday. The multiple pieces of poo in the main pool and baby pool, 3 days in a row. Holiday from Hell… which we cut short by 4 days and flew home early in disgust and need to see a doctor.||Dates- 02/09-09/09 (cut short due home 13/09)||||Firstly, before going into the negatives / few positives of the hotel, let me go on record by saying I am astounded that major companies in the UK such as Jet2 and TUI give this hotel a 4-5 star rating I have no words for this. ||||This was my second visit to the Royal Wings Hotel, my first visit less than a year ago so I thought to some degree I knew what I was getting and decided to be “ safe “ and book the same again, those famous last words.||||Upon arriving at the hotel and signing in I realized that the room I paid for was not actually available ( but was charged anyway ) and the receptionist claimed this is a sea view room IF YOU STICK YOUR BODY 180 degrees over a balcony from the 9th floor, ( and you wonder why so many people plunge to their deaths on balconies abroad ? )||The hotel quick to rectify this however “ if you come down to reception in 4 days, we can try move you to a different room “ ||Talk about a fob off ? or tackling the issue. Speaking to various couples round the pool area I understand this is a common problem now and we weren’t the only ones.||||After unpacking and hoping to wind down with a late afternoon swim, we managed all of three minutes in the pool before the pushy, sleazy photographer arrived on scene. Greeting us in Turkish we had no idea what he was saying but he took photos anyway and when we later went into his shop to ask them to be deleted, he ‘didn’t understand English.’ (Presume our photos are still on their system.) The Photographer continued to follow us around the pool and made us an appointment which we didn’t agree to and would not leave us alone after this. Annoyed with the photographer but trying to forget and enjoy the first day of our holiday we shower, changed, and proceeded to ‘The Buffet.’ Another reviewer wrote about it being feeding time at the zoo which is 100% accurate I genuinely couldn’t put it better. Looking round to what is on offer at ‘the buffet’ neither of us saw anything that we thought ‘oh that looks nice.’ Therefore, we walked straight out and headed to the hotel shops. Clothing and bag shop couldn’t fault, they weren’t pushy and left us to look around at our own accord, The mini market however euro 17 for a can of sprite and 2 Milka chocolate bars- robbery. Paid it because needed something to eat after a day of travel but wouldn’t go in again for the duration.||||Having been unimpressed about ‘the buffet’ we decided to book the ‘a la carte’ steak restaurant for the Wednesday evening and the Italian for the Sunday evening. Now in the UK you can eat a Michelin star meal between two people for pound 99.00. At Royal Wings you can pay euro 70per person, for a steak house that doesn’t serve fillet steak. Hmmmm. The tray of appetizers they serve look like they have stood out in heat for hours. After eating here both of us became very unwell (D&V) and struggled to do anything for the rest of the holiday. By the Friday afternoon we walked round the grounds for exercise and fresh air, sat on the pier at the beach, which was beautiful, someone else wrote that the grounds were well maintained which I would agree with. The gardeners seemed to be working hard around the grounds to keep it nice and tidy. Hoping to report our disastrous start to the holiday to our can’t do enough for you rep, hear the sarcasm in my tone …. ( we didn’t see him once and received a text message from Burak 15 min pre his arrival, he stays for 30 mins, so he is 100% committed to the cause ) unfortunately we were both head in toilet being sick at the time.||||The Italian restaurant on the Sunday … shocking we had to leave halfway through due to feeling so ill. However, whilst in the restaurant there was three children running around climbing on and under tables, the staff nor the parents did nothing about this. I find this unacceptable especially when you have paid. I have children, I understand they make noise and have energy to burn but I wouldn’t allow this and feel like staff should have spoken to the families. As I said we had to leave halfway through and informed the staff we were leaving.||||We spent 24 hours in our room due to being so unwell. Now we are onto the rooms I have a lot to say about this. Firstly, in these 24 hours of being secluded to the room, we had unclean towels, bedding, had ran out of toilet roll, we had asked the cleaners to attend multiple times however didn’t therefore ended up having to go out and taking some toilets roll from the toilets in the building. ||Now in general the room itself was lovely despite not being what we booked (^) was presentable when we first arrived. However the daily cleaning was poor, I make the beds at home better, they just threw the pillows on the bed and quilts back over. One time we were presented with a towel shaped like an elephant bundle which was nice but not enough to take your attention away from the rest of the issues. For a 10 day stay I would expect bedding to be stripped and changed at least once, my partner even stripped the bed herself and left the bedding on the floor (presuming they would change it) I thought wrong they put the dirty sheets back on the bed. The toilet was never cleaned/bleached, the floors were dusty and not cleaned, the shower wasn’t cleaned either, towels were changed but some had a funky smell as well as the towels at the pool side. ||Can I also add despite the ‘do not disturb sign’ being switched on we was awoken many times which was not ideal when we were trying to rest after being up in the night…||||After 3-4 days ill we decide to visit the onsite Doctor. We are greeted by a nurse who looks at us like we were aliens, we ask if we can see the doctor as we both seem to be suffering from the same illness, to which she replied euro200 each or after 18:00 euro245 each. We asked what this includes to which she responded an examination so therefore, nothing else included such as prescriptions if needed. Both walking out feeling so ill, we go back to the unclean room with the same bedding and towels, with our symptoms getting worse and feeling dirty and unhygienic, we book a 500euro flight home with Jet2 our holiday provider who have yet to be in touch. On returning home and visiting our doctor we both had a stomach bug which can be caused from unsanitary water. After reading other reviews there was fecal matter in the pool numerous times which by the sounds of it was left to ferment before being cleaned with only a poxy caution tape to keep you out. In some cases, not even tape just left in the pool 24 hours. Well and truly not only disgusting but unacceptable.||||The water park and pool area and the outside grounds are aesthetically pleasing; however, entertainment was poor to none, the nighttime life was also very limited and dull, bar staff could be rude at times and seemed to pick and choose who to serve. Sun Loungers were claimed from first thing in the morning to night and at times no one used them, a better system should be put in for this so it is fair (I understand it is usually common practice to claim a sun lounger)but there was that many seats all crammed together you was sitting with other families. Around the pool areas were pushy salesmen, I understand they have a job to do but three attempted sales in a row is too much when you are just trying to relax and some were quite pushy and didn’t take no for an answer. The pool entertainer makes it impossible to relax, thumping music and shouting what can only be described as verbal nonsense (I appreciate again that he is doing his job, but it is like the hotel doesn’t know what it wants to be. Is it for children and families? Is it a party place for the younger generation? Or is it to relax? It doesn’t cater for everyone or anyone really.) Although my children did not attend this holiday I wouldn’t bring them as not a lot other than the water park, or the nighttime fair ground.||The Wi-Fi was also poor, picked and chose where to work, three times the passwords changed, and you were not informed which if you work from home/from your phone or laptop this was not ideal.||||In summary people save up money all year to go away and relax and let’s be honest be cared for ( not have to make your own bed ,clean bedding, have meals presented to you a few relaxing beverages ) the whole concept of a holiday is out the window in this hotel. It has massively gone downhill, and I am amazed that the major companies in the UK are marketing it at the ratings they do. I will not be returning to this hotel again ( I have spent over GBP 9,000.00 on two visits in the same year ) whilst I know me not attending doesn’t affect the hotel itself but I would strongly recommend...

Review of our week||We booked this as a last minute holiday a few days prior to travel. We are a family of 2 adults 17,14,8 year olds. We have 2 standard rooms, ours had a sea view and the teens had a side sea view - woudn't pay extra for side view again as you had to be hanging over the balcony to see it! ||This was our first trip to Turkey and if I'm honest it took me a while to settle in. |Water park was great, shame it's not open all day but it wasn't a huge issue. Gets busier in the afternoon session. |Fair ground is a great and helps pass some time in the evening. |Entertainment - the animation team obviously work hard and long hours but I did feel like the day time activities could have been promoted or advertised more. It wasn't really that clear what was going on unless you happened to be close to the speakers at 10am and even then that didn't happen every day. |The pool party was great, but blimey watch the younger kids because the pool is mostly one depth and once the foam is in you can't see or even breath at times if it's in your face!! |The garden party on Friday was also brilliantly put together but definitely aimed at adults rather than kids. |We didn't see the kids disco or use the kids club as the 8 year old wasn't interested. |The evening entertainment I felt started a bit late and was a bit disjointed , in the sense of there's not much else to do between dinner and the start of entertainment. Some of the shows were great some were terrible! They last 30 mins and then that's it. Again took us a few days to realise that things then move to the pool bar (this isn't made clear) - not really sure what goes on down there, we went one night for the live music but there wasn't any. ||The pool area is great, generally kept clean and waiters come round regularly for drinks orders (less so if near the pool bar I felt) |Sunbeds can't be reserved before 9am. If you go down early you have to stay with them until 9am, if you don't your items will be removed by staff. This happened religiously everyday but worked wel as meant still lots of choice quite late on. Some people do try and in some cases there were sunbed wars when the items have been removed and someone else then takes the spot. Tip - bring your own towels or towel clips/bags etc so it's obviously your items and not just general hotel towels that everyone uses (can't argue who's towels are down if they're all the same) ||Rooms were good, clean spacious and mini bar restocked every day but early on so sometimes you might miss it if your do not disturb sign is still on. |I was a little disappointed by the balconies and they were quite small and an odd shapes we ended up not using it other than to dry clothes and towels. || Restaurant Food - this for me was the highest disappointment of the trip and the reason I woudn't go back.|The restaurant had a huge selection but for us it just wasn't what we would eat, although we did always find something. There is pasta every night too. My husband thinks it's catered more for Turkish, German tastes than British tastes. Again always chips onion rings etc too (even for breakfast !!!). There was always some kind of meat steak turkey etc but if I'm honest it always looked like cheap cuts. Sometimes it was the look of the food that put me off - it might have tasted lovely! ||There is no description of the deserts which is a shame as so much must go to waste as people take them to try and end up not liking them. The crepes and chocolate sauce for breakfast were great (luckily as that's what I had every morning!) ||Snack bars - the food in the amphitheater snack bars is good. The main afternoon snacks were plentiful, jacket potatoes, pizza, sandwiches, kebabs , fruit, icecream. Can't fault any of these but they're only open for 3 hours of the day. ||Icecream only available 1-4pm that was hugely disappointing for an ultra all inclusive. ||The pool snacks then open 4-5.15 by the pool bar. Would have been better to keep the amphitheater open all day 10-6||The beach restaurant makes a nice change for a cool sit down lunch again only open for a few hours. |The snack bars at the water park - hot dogs & chicken. Really good but weirdly only open when the water park is closed 12-2. This makes no sense to me. Again icecream only available there for a couple of hours|We didn't use the late opening patisserie or snack bar. |The shop is expensive go out of the hotel to buy what you need.|The arcade made for a good half hour for the kids $10 for 8 games which I thought was reasonable. There's also bowling but we didn't play that so not sure how much it was.|As it was my first time in turkey I'm not sure if this is more common there than we are used to but I find there was a mass of people who smoked. This was round the pool or anywhere outdoors. Even the outdoor party felt like we were inside in a Smokey room. For us as non smokers - we found this uncomfortable. |Beach- not really sand people so woudn't spend a day here, cabanas look lovely, we did venture down daily to the pier which was nice to sit on and also the sea was great to swim in and we did water sports on the beach. Really enjoyed this. ||It definitely took me a while to find my feet at the hotel and work out what was going on but once we did we had a great time. Some better information in rooms or on arrival would be useful, or even an app for people to check daily. The morning & evening food is the reason I wouldn't go back and limited Icecream in the day(for the kids rather than me!) but I understand this is personal tastes. I'd have preferred the amphitheater snack bars to stay open all day than for different places to open at different times and I'd like there to be more to do in an evening but for a week it was perfectly fine, not sure we'd have...
