This hotel is excellent. Offers everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel however I wouldn't put it at the top end of a 5 star hotel and here's why. ||Me and my partner went the first week in September and had an excellent time. We're both in our mid 20's. Upon arrival, which is a 2 hour private transfer, from Antalya Airport we was stunned. The reception staff was welcoming even at 3am and the concierge was helpful with the baggage to the rooms and pointing out helpful tips along the way. There was also a small buffet option of soups, cheeses and breads throughout the night for people arriving late and after a day of travelling. ||We had a excellent sea view room overlooking the pools and of course the sea and the room was very very spacious as was the balcony too. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms air conditioning was perfect aiding for a good nights sleep. Shower also very spacious and the room had everything we required and more. ||The pool areas were kept very clean, as was the entirety of the hotel, and although people did reserve sunbeds, the days we didn't there was still plenty of room to get one even post 10am. There should be no worries in that department. The private beach was ok nothing special but offers a range of water sports, we did parasailing which cost 90 euro for the both of us. Very friendly and helpful with the excursion and we opted to pay an additional 80 pounds for the full photo package that comes with it.||The spa staff were very friendly, we had a Turkish bath on the first day of our holiday and it was perfect. The massage was excellent and the whole experience very good. You can also get towels from the spa everyday just give them your towel cards and return them at the end of use to get them back. ||The food options were ok, some repetitive but we opted to eat out 3 times for evening meals while we was there, once within the hotel, Turkish restaurant which i thought wasn't great. If it wasn't including in our booking I'd have been disappointed to have paid for it. This is one of the reasons i didn't thin it was a 5* for example there would be a table clean and made up but we would be missing cutlery. On several occasions we had to ask for a fork or a knife as we would always have one or the other missing. It could take a while for them to fetch it out. They're not available in the restaurant to help yourself to, and when you finished a plate and wanted to opt for more they would take your used away and it wouldn't be replaced. The bar in there usually would be only 1 serving which would mean you could be stood a while waiting for a bar drink. However the were several fridges throughout stocked with water, or there were fruit juice machines throughout you could use too. ||We didn't watch much of the entertainment on the evening so can't comment on that but there was something on every night over at the ordertourium the far side of the hotel. I would say the entertainment throughout the day was a little light, again why i think it just lacks a top 5 star hotel. We played water polo twice while was there but didn't seem to be much more than that.||We had a photo shoot in the hotel too. The pictures were fantastic but not cheap if you want the full lot. We paid 200 euro for 120 digital and 35 hard copies or 9 euro per photo they price them at. Try and bargaining with them, they were open to it and their first price certainly wasn't their best!!!||We did 2 excursions while was there too, there is plenty of options to suit all. We opted for quad biking which was ok, a half day trip but only on the quads for maybe 2 hours or so. Spend 40 minutes in a compound so the operators could check you'd be capable of riding out. BE AWARE you will get very very dirty and would advise taking clothes you'd be happy to throw away. ||We also did the Pink Panther day trip which was brilliant. So much fun and definitely for families. Water fights on busses, foam parties, boat rides (food included not drink) and a mini zoo. Was a very good day and would highly recommend to families.||Overall it's a brilliant complex with lots to offer, in an area where it was short to travel to nearby hot spots (things aren't on the doorstep). The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was OK. The rooms were exceptionally clean as was the whole hotel. A great 4* maybe a low 5* but i would certainly return here...
Read moreMore 3.5* We stayed here for 2 weeks at the very beginning of August. On arrival it looked lovely, clean, welcoming and helpful staff. Over the course of the holiday our rooms were meticulously cleaned daily, although all rooms are only allowed 3 toilet rolls at a time (bizarre). We paid for a safe in each room too. Food wise, the pidé was amazing, the rest looks great but chips, onion rings and chicken nuggets being offered at every meal tine, including breakfast, is weird. Plenty of food on offer for guests from all countries. The restaurant staff were amazing and helped every time we needed to put some tables together for our family of 10. Whilst there we celebrated a family birthday and paid a small amount for a table of decorations along with a cake, it truly was made memorable! My son will never forget it. Sparklers on the cake, swans made out of cloth napkins, balloons and everyone singing happy birthday, including other guests, what a truly unforgettable experience. Onto other stuff…the pools are cleaned every single night, they are spotless! The entertainment, although not enough room for everyone in the amphitheater for everyone, was spectacular. Take hand held fans though as it is so sweaty being crammed together, it’s worth it though. There’s a kids club and kids disco every day and evening. Evening entertainment by the relax pool was fun. Karaoke was brilliant, the foam party in the day was enjoyed by everyone. The hotel has 2 blocks of accommodation, one has been updated and the other hasn’t yet. We were in the one that is still waiting. It wasn’t great, the walls had old handprints on the walls, the decoration is grim, it needs tlc desperately, like I said though, the ladies that cleaned it did a great job. If you want day trips, I recommend going into town, Konakli or to Alanya, and booking them there. The prices from the hotel are sooooo high! The shop within the hotel is expensive, there are a few shops just outside the entrance, go there. The shopkeepers are lovely and don’t rip you off. Beware of the cab charges and only pay what’s on the meter, yes we did hear….on more than one occasion, drivers telling each other ‘English charge’, which was always a lot higher than the meter charge. We visited a beach club whilst here and had the most amazing day. King sized four poster beds on the beach, super comfy pillows and a place to shield from the sun and relax. The pool was lovely and so was the food. The service was second to none too. We visited Konakli several times and went to the supermarkets and the cashpoint (always click no on the atm when it asks if you want their exchange rate, Mastercard rate is always better!). Some great shopping malls with bargains to be had. McDonalds was tasty too haha! Anyway a big negative for me…..I had purchased a bag on my first day here and it was in my adult sons room, I didn’t use it. It went missing. My sons had no visitors at all to their room and knew it had stayed on their sideboard. A couple of days before leaving I wanted to use it and it had gone. The ‘manager’ of the hotel confirmed only my family and the cleaner had been into the room yet it had been taken. I was promised the cost back and then that was changed to ‘we can’t give the money to you as it shouldn’t have been promised’. They swore blind that it wouldn’t have been anyone from the hotel, so where is it? Make sure you lock everything away as yes, I did have an item stolen! I felt that I was made out to be a liar, which I’m not and still take offence to. Other than that, the hotel was a great place to visit. Get a sea view room, not a hillside one, or you’ll just be overlooking a street with no nice view. The sea view is great, there is a very busy road running from the airport past the hotel, this road is busy 24/7, the hotel has its own tunnel underneath it to get to the beach. The beach isn’t fit for purpose, it’s solid rock and very dangerous. Definitely go further along the coast for sand! All in all, would I go back? Yes, we did have a memorable time, I would just lock...
Read moreThis was the best holiday I've been on. The hotel is impeccable, clean and beautifully decorated, rooms cleaned daily. Hotel is quiet compared to others I've been, bed comfortable, staff polite and helpful. Ignore the moody faces at reception, you only have to deal with them for 5 mins at check in and check out 😃 Please don't believe the negative reviews, the rooms are safe, we left our purses with money in, plus gold jewelry and our passports and nothing went missing, despite the cleaning ladies going in daily-we didn't use a safe, just left them in our luggage, obviously not in plain sight, but not overly hidden either. The all inclusive buffet is absolutely amazing and opulent. There is so much of everything, I felt guilty of the food waste which is unavoidable in places like these. They spoilt us every day with bbq food, skewers, lamb, veal, duck and chicken cooked in all manners imaginable and all of high quality and very tasty. The evening themed as "seafood" was impressive, again all types of fish, cockles, mussels, prawns etc cooked in every kind of way, all displayed beautifully. Desserts presented like works of art. On top of the 3 main meals, there is cakes, ice cream and a cute old lady making these yummy savory/sweet snacks out of thin pastry sheets. Not to mention the snack bar serving burgers, chips, pizza, salad and cheesy bread in between main meals. In the evenings, after dinner, they bring out the delicious soups and breads available throughout the night for the peckish guests. The drinks were unlimited and oh my, they are not stingy with alcohol. I would regularly ask them to only put a small amount of alcohol, otherwise you'd end up drunk from 2 drinks! They have plenty of cocktails available free, with only a couple that you have to pay for (which I've not bothered with). Also plenty of soft drinks and colourful mocktails for kids. We felt extremely safe in the resort, we initially didn't know what to expect, as 3 females without a man, but although lots of men were flirty and asking to meet up, no one was pushy or over-stepping, in fact their attention was mostly flattering. You do get asked lots to get massages or use various other extra services that you have to pay for and they do love euros there, but I used to say no and have a laugh with them and they were fine with that. The pools were all very clean, our favourite was the lazy river, water was so warm at the end of August. The water slides were fun, it's true the lifeguards weren't particularly interested, like some reviews mentioned, but the slides weren't dangerous and all the pools had a depth of under 150cm. Ultimately it is the parent's responsibility to look after their children. The private beach is not great, water was warm and they have a beach bar with drinks and food, but sadly the sea becomes quite deep quite quickly and they put stones and rocks of various sizes in the water, which made it uncomfortable to play in the waves, as we'd be thrown or dragged against rocks, so we spent most time at the pools. Outside the resort, we took the bus to antalya, again not knowing what to expect, thinking we need to be careful how we dress etc, but no need to worry, there were loads of tourists/people dressed for summer and no one cared. Hard to communicate as most only speak little English and as per their reputation, Turkish men have a temper and like raising their voices at the drop of a hat 😃. All in all, an amazing holiday, I would return to that resort without hesitation and I highly...
