I’d advise anyone to avoid this hotel. Staff are not welcoming at all.
On our first night of arrival we got there at 11:00pm. We expected a 5 star all inclusive hotel.
We had a long flight and transfer and it was already late and we have a 5 year old and wanted to get food soon as we arrived.
The staff member said there is no food, soup only.
For a 5 year old child it’s not ideal.
We decided to go to our room and try and arrange a takeaway.
When we got to our room the door handle was falling off, the room was disgusting, dirty towels and for a double bed they had a lounge sofa bed as a replacement.
We complained right away and the staff member spoke little English and translated manager will be in tomorrow ( he really didn’t want to help and was avoiding talking to us)
After many failed attempts to order food we went to a local restaurant down the road. We heard them say “another victim from Miarosa”.
The following morning we was met by the love holiday rep Adam.
He wanted us to buy excursions but we said we was unhappy with the room. He said let’s buy excursions first then we will sort out rooms. (DO NOT PAY FOR EXCURSIONS FROM THEM OVERPRICED AND AS A REP HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE)
When we said we are not paying for excursions first and need our accommodation sorted first he said let’s see another room and then If it’s bad we will change hotel but he wanted to sell excursions first. We was taken to view another room.
It was even worse than the one we had.
We came back to reception and told Adam no sorry this room is even worse, he then says thank you and bye and walked away (he just wanted to make money off us).
We tried to make use of our 2nd day and avoid being in our room as much as possible.
Food counter is horrible there’s no allergy advice and again staff don’t want to communicate with you.
It was dirty and food counter unorganised.
Whilst sitting eating our food a power cut happened a power cut happened at the hotel lasting 20 mins. There was people stuck in the lifts and we would have been in there if we came down for food 10 mins later.
Over the next hour there was several power cuts.
We was growing really concerned and this was not just a worry about the accommodation this was a health and safety concern.
20 mins later on the upper floors we could smell gas, very strong other guests noticed and started coming downstairs to report it.
The staff member at reception says it’s just electrical gas and there’s nothing to be worried about.
(I have never heard of this)
More people were coming and he was telling people to go back to their rooms at 8pm.
We decided to leave incase it was serious and went out to our destination we already had planned.
When we came back fire department, police had evacuated the hotel at 11pm.
Not even 24 hours in this hotel and this is happening it’s a nightmare.
Staff members of the hotel were not concerned for any of the guests and not talking to anyone. Hotel guests that could translate English were helping us and keeping us up to date.
Some of them were actually walking around smoking right outside the front doors to which the police were doing the job and moving everyone away from the hotel ( if the police did not do this the hotel staff would still not do this, well done to police.)
The Turkish people knew this place wasn’t safe and stood up against this hotel.
The time was 01.00 am now and no staff member was updating guests, some were walking around drinking aswell as smoking.
The staff were not trained for this.
The manager came and he was very rude to people telling them go back to their rooms everything is ok but later these guests that came back in got evacuated.
He did not care about anyone’s safety. Women and children were outside and men were getting chairs from inside to accommodate women and children (not hotel staff )
We decided leave the hotel at 3.00am and find new accommodation and came down to reception and handed our cards. The same staff member who met us on arrival then insulted...
