A beautiful hotel with lovely gardens, pool and clean rooms with views of the water, but, despite the price, this is not a luxury hotel. ||This was a stunning hotel. The grounds, the sculptures, swimming pool and rooms. The beds were comfortable (even top sheets, which is rare in Turkey), quiet with views of the water and overlooking a cool archeological site. The bellman was the best service person working here. ||The hotel needs some service improvements. ||I was going to go to the pool but couldn’t find anyone at the pool bar or towel stand. Then, I went to the restaurant for lunch and sat down for quite some time before someone came over without a menu and had a blank look on his face as if he were confused about why I was sitting there. When I asked for a menu, he brought a QR code - which doesn’t scream luxury hotel. I waited a VERY long time for someone to come back and take my order - I had to flag someone down. And, I waited even longer to get my drinks (I never did receive the water I ordered) and food. Meanwhile, there was only 1 other table and about 5 servers who were ALL looking at their phones. No one was paying any attention. This also doesn’t scream luxury. ||Pro Tip for the Hotel: Bring the drinks right away before the food is ready, and you’ll likely have your patrons order MORE drinks when their food arrives. ||I came here solo for 1 reason only: for a very long work meeting via Zoom - to have fast WIFI and comfortable accommodations while doing it. The hotel advertises fast wifi: “100mpts of speed”. I didn’t believe it, because Datca has the worst WIFI, so I emailed the hotel, and they emailed immediately saying yes, this was true. ||When I got to the hotel, the WIFI speed was 2+ Mbps, not even fast enough to send an email. I called the front desk, and they graciously gave me their password to the hotel private WIFI which was much faster (about 50 Mbps but still no where near 100 as advertised). ||Two more things: Hangers that are permanently attached to the closet rod screams budget hotel because you’re expecting your patrons to steal your hangers? Also, there was no conditioner or other bath amenities in the rooms - shampoo & soap only. I was at two hotels in Datca last month that cost 1/5 of this price, and they included conditioner in the bathroom/showers. ||So, my meeting and stay was fine, the service was MEH, the rooms were lovely and quiet, but I will not be back...

Read morePalaia is by far the best hotel we’ve stayed at ever, no joke! The service is out of this world and the facilities amazing. Big and beautiful rooms, wonderful pool with stunning surroundings. The all organic food is for real great! We want to give special thanks to Altan for taking care of us, to the staff by the beach, he was so kind and service minded, to the chef for the amazing food and the nice staff at both the restaurant and the reception. ||Distance-wise the hotel is perfectly located. You walk by the sea for about 10 minutes which we felt was perfect for an evening stroll to the center. You have a small Migros market up the hill 5 minutes away from the hotel, and 100 meters more you’ll find a Şok market with a little more to offer. ||If you walk 400-600 meters to the east from the hotel, you will find yourself a view and a bay (sunset beach - but the pictures in google won’t do it justice) that Will make you speechless.. ||Palaia is a new hotel that sets a high standard and will be the reason Datça will be a more popular travel destination than it slowly...
