The hotel itself is definitely not a 5 star, It might have been when it was first built but in order to maintain that 5 star quality, it needs to evolve with the times… it’s need a lot of TLC, you can always tell with the bathroom how old things are. You can also tell it’s not a modern 5 star hotel because the breakfast is not great. If there is any melons and fresh fruits (not the canned stuff they had) take that, at least it’s fresh. If your orange juice is not fresh with pulp and it looks orange coloured, not yellow- it’s definitely a low quality hotel in the food side, if you book this hotel by choice and not for health tourism or with a tour group or it was part of a package, please don’t pay for the breakfast, go to the cafe just outside to the right and have a hotel breakfast there, I promise you, it will have flavour and you won’t be disappointed. You most definitely will be disappointed if you actually paid for breakfast here. You will also be disappointed if you ate at the restaurant for lunch or dinner here, service isn’t great, options are bizzare and food is dry and bland and not worth the hotel mark up prices. Again, save yourself the disappointment and go to the cafe next door, the food has flavour and many options even if you can’t chew your food, the soup and mash and pasta are great. Do not eat at the hotel restaurant, the atmosphere is so depressing. Other than this, I find the hotel room is ok, it’s a good size, I had a sofa and a long desk, shower pressure was good in my room, room was cleaned each day, that’s all I really expected with a hotel I didn’t book myself. take your Amazon fire stick and watch your own tv- make life easier if you tend to find hotel tv difficult to find something you’d enjoy. Finally, I’d say that all these reviews complaining about the mini bar prices- guys- just don’t take anything from the mini bar- everyone knows the mark up is the highest- just buy else’s where (don’t you guys watch friends!) be prepared to take taxi everywhere and each trip about 30mins because there is tons of traffic all day...
Read moreI had a bad experience at this hotel! First of all I would like to say that not all of the staff were bad, some of them were rude and unprofessional. Let’s begin by communication; I don’t understand how a hotel like Ramada in Istanbul , one of the tourist destinations, can hire non English speaking at the front desk. This was a huge problem for me and for almost everyone who was staying at that hotel, they don’t even bother to make an effort… now this is the issue why I decided to write a review; at the time of the check in, a front desk who checked me in advised me that I needed to leave a $50 in case I use the mini bar, basically in case you use that $50 should cover what was consumed and this is exactly how the front desk guy said to me; which turned out to be a scam at the day of check out, when I found out that I had to pay 165 euros on top of the $50 I left because I consumed mini small bottles alcoholic beverages and a couple of items were not used at all, which I still had to pay for. At the end the manager got involved and what a manager !!!! Who threatened to call “the police” on me in case I don’t pay for the scam and even said some Bullshit that he is a very strong man or something like that, well if you are reading my review , I have to say to you that you are one of the worst managers I’ve ever encountered in my life. That’s not how to speak to customers idiot , customers who pay your living salary to survive.. I was chocked how sneaky you were when after the terrible things you said , you wanted to offer me Turkish coffee and to my fellow American guy, how dare you man! Such a terrible experience and unprofessional staff. Do well for your country and the beautiful city of Istanbul, don’t abuse tourist and scare them away like that, be a good citizen of your beautiful country. Oh, the breakfast buffet definitely needs some variety, we ( all of the guest seemed to be bored with the same food) felt like were in a hospital…. Thanks anyway and have a...
Read moreIt was a horrific bad experience. We were here one night and then ran out of this place. The fact that we paid for two nights did not stop us. There is no simple thing in the room - there is no fresh air. As soon as we went into the room, already half an hour of my face burned. The air conditioner supplied hot spiritual air (in fact it worked as a fan without feeding to the air room). We tried to open the window, but it can be opened only on a small slot. The room was unimaginable to stuffy. Soon my face shook because of dirty air, my eyes blushed. We turned to the reception, the hotel staff came to us. It "zaned" the air conditioning system hitting the control panel. Then he went to say that "after one hour the air cool." But after one hour nothing has changed. In the room it was impossible to breathe. We again turned to the reception. We were offered to change the room. We went into a new room and saw that this room has the same problem with air - the air conditioner worked malfunctioned. Staff makes the view that everything is fine, and there is no problem. But as they may not notice that the hotel has been broken down by the system. The hotel is not suitable for life! This is a bullying. People deprive the main need - to breathe freely. In the morning we looked like exhausted and sick people. We collected things and left for the day before. IThe hotel is located on the desert. There are no shops where you can buy food. The hotel has a restaurant with a road and invitational meals. The room was dirty and shabby furniture. On the walls and doors were fatty spots. The window overlooks the track and large parking. If you want to have a living and get extremely bad impressions - choose this hotel. In any other cases - no, no,...
