A Serene Escape with Minor Hiccups
Our recent two-night stay at this hotel was, on the whole, a delightful experience, despite a somewhat challenging start. Navigating to the hotel proved to be unexpectedly difficult. The provided directions were unhelpful, and even the hotel representative who communicated with us in the lobby seemed unfamiliar with the local area and Turkish, making our arrival a bit arduous. However, the moment we stepped inside, our initial fatigue quickly dissipated. The hotel's physical design, reminiscent of Bali with its dense, lush trees, immediately put us at ease. This tranquil ambiance was perfectly complemented by the courteous and attentive staff who greeted us. Our room was a highlight: spacious, impeccably clean, and featuring a truly beautiful private pool that offered a perfect escape. When it came to dining, the breakfast spread was sufficiently satisfying, providing a good start to our days. For dinner, while the portions were on the smaller side, the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced, offering a pleasant culinary experience. The breathtaking sea and sunset views from the hotel were absolutely magnificent, adding a magical touch to our evenings. Although the sea was a bit stony, it was wonderfully clean and pristine, making for refreshing dips. We also appreciated the staff's continuous supply of fresh towels, a small but significant detail. The charming, romantic small pools in the common areas were another feature we particularly enjoyed, adding to the hotel's appeal. However, a couple of minor drawbacks are worth mentioning. Given the hotel's abundant greenery, it's perhaps inevitable that there were quite a few insects and mosquitoes around, which could be a bit bothersome. Additionally, while our room was spotless, the cleanliness of the common areas wasn't quite on par with the excellent standard of our private space. Despite these minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel provided a much-needed sense of tranquility and relaxation, and we left with many beautiful memories. It's a place we would certainly recommend for those seeking a peaceful retreat, provided they are prepared for a potentially tricky arrival and the natural presence of...
Read moreWOW! 🤩 I have never had any hotel experience like this before! I don’t know where to begin to describe. We had a wonderful experience at the Nautical Hotel. Every staff member we encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help!
The hotel is located in a rural are that you cannot access with your car. So you have to call the reception so that they can send over a safari car to pick you up 😀 The restaurant has mouthwateringly amazing dishes that delights guest while they’re staying. Once we wanted to try some other restaurants around Faralya but we regretted leaving the hotel as everything was so great. Nautical set the bar too high that we became getting easily disappointed elsewhere.
The hotel offers free yoga and trekking sessions in the nature. Also there’s a massage cottage which was nice but the masseuse was not really good. I have had much better massages 💆🏻♂️
The hotel has plenty of cute spots where you can unwind and have fun. They have play room with lots of board games and billiards 🎱 and darts and backgammon. Besides indoor and outdoor cinema where you can watch any movies you’d like. Not sure if you want to watch a movie here while you can probably catch the best sunset here with the sound of the water crashing into stunning rocks 🌅
There are plenty of swimming pools and direct access to the sea with phenomenal view. You’ll have hard time to choose in which one you want to swim 🏊🏽♂️😀
The hotel provides a mobile phone for you with what you can call and order anything you like 24/7. The wifi connection is extraordinarily good. You have great connection and speed from anywhere around the hotel including down the beach and yoga and trekking spots. They literally do everything to fulfill all your expectations. We couldn’t get enough of the hotel so we decided to stay longer even though we checked out after 3 days.
Thank you for everything! Will recommend to our friends and families and colleagues! Moreover we will come back one day here...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our week at the Nautical Hotel 22-29 April 2025. Read to the end for details on construction works taking place.
The highlights for us were our romantic sea facing Accomodation, the fabulously kept gardens, the terraces by the sea, the ambient music, the morning yoga sessions and the friendliness of all the staff.
Nautical Hotel feels very exclusive and has a real magic about it. There were several instances during our stay when staff went the extra mile to accommodate us.
The drivers are on hand to whisk you up the hill so that we were able to enjoy the surrounding area. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants which served good value authentic food in wonderful locations.
Comms on site is somewhat reliant on what’s app messages. communication might benefit from being a bit more proactive, fuller and in one place. Special mention to Hattice (sp) who tried very hard to get it right.
Coffee machine not working on days 2, 5 and 7 so had to make do with filter 😔.
We love swimming in the sea so it was a shame not having the Swimming ladder in place until the last day.
Unfortunately, there is heavy construction work about 400 m down the coast from the Nautical hotel. We appreciate this is nothing to with the hotel but the daily noise (8.15 am - 5pm) from the site is clearly audible throughout the grounds of the hotel except perhaps when you are right by the sea and it is drowned out by the crashing waves. We didn’t let it spoil our stay but we do feel that guests (particularly those sensitive to noise) ought to be told about it before confirming their booking as the level of offering creates an expectation of tranquillity which the construction noises defeats. We were not told about the construction at the point of booking and no one sought to speak to us about it during our stay which was disappointing.
We asked a member of the comms team about the works. They told us works had been going on since January (before we booked) and are set to continue...
