The room: On arriving after 1am we were shown to an apartment on the top floor. The lad who took us there begged for money! The kitchen had bunk beds in and a single bed next to it. There was only the two of us....my partner suffers with her legs and the next morning she went down to reception, showed her disabled badge and asked them for a ground floor appratment which they organised for us. That was good of them! However we lost a decent view but the room was better! Overall the room was 'sort of clean' but many of the doors including our room were in need of a paint job! The shower worked ok mostly but was leaking on last week! The beds were very hard to sleep on we thought, and it was difficult to feel rested when you got up next morning. The air con was good and not too noisy on sleep mode!
Food & drink: We went all-inclusive, but as far as the drinks were concerned, we only had a choice of a beer or white rum, vodka or gin, wine..that was it alcohol-wise! No unbranded brandy or whiskey, which we've had at every other all inclusive in Turkey, we're also very sure that the white spirits were watered down. We drank neat Rum and it seemed watered down definitely. The only thing we drank and had any effect on us after was the white wine! The food there is not that great tbh, somewhat samey and not very hot, the desserts looked nice but we're tasteless and not that sweet. Still, you have to eat. You had to get down early to get a table in the main area but there was extra seating upstairs. We found we had to put a bag on the table to denote that someone was sitting there. On the first day we put two glasses of orange there and when we came back with our food, they were gone and another family were sitting there! The main barman rarely smiled and had an abrupt attitude and was very sparing with his measures even though they were watered down. Other bar staff are nice on the whole. The bar and entertainment shuts down at 10:30pm when most people felt like they could go another hour!
Entertainment: Yes very poor, pop quiz night was not very good on the first week and was mostly songs we call euro trash with no variety to include a mixture of tastes. The disco just wasn't a disco in the end and the DJ spent the whole evening chatting up two young Belgian girls! His assistant was a lady who tried (in a lacklustre way) to entertain the kids! Music was played around the main pool all day but again it was thumping euro trash. On the Wednesday night it's 'Bingo game' as they call it! I kinda expected it to be a number of games, but no, it was one game only stretched over an hour! 1 line, 2 lines then a full house. Prizes to win, quite generous reallyI think, but it was sooooo slow. It would be about 3-5 minutes before the next number was called. You're just sat there thinking 'Pleeeeease get on with it!' We eventually got to one number from a full house. Cost us 1400 lira for 2 cards of 6 games.
Swimming pools!
Generally good, we enjoyed them and especially the flume and slide. Anyways, for us though there was a safety concerns, when some kids were running 'up the flume' and no one was watching them or anything not even the lifeguard who never seemed to be on guard, just hanging around playing on his phone! An accident could easily have happened so we alerted staff.
Toilets:
There was a toilet near to the swimming pool, they weren't great and my partner said the ladies toilets never seemed to have toilet paper. Both weren't kept that clean though to be honest, not as clean as they should be!
Closing remarks! It wasn't all bad though, there were some enjoyable bits. Catty Cats really does have Cats running around. Most of them look starved and other guests were feeding them. Enjoyable but mostly...
Read moreI'm honestly surprised with the reviews on here, I've got about 96 reviews so I guess I can't be a fake account if they are.
Pros, It only took an hour to get from Antalya airport to Catty Cats Hotel. The beach is a 12 minute drive (we used the free bus they provided as part of the package but I think it's the hotel) please be sure to wear your wrist band so you are allowed to use the sunbed. I found all staff par one were always trying to help and going the extra mile. The one just does his job so cannot fault him. For those who wish to travel, do not get upset if you approach the few staff who cannot understand, it's US whom are guests in another country so we can use a translator (I downloaded Google translate a day prior which helped when out) or even ask one the many other within the hotel who often do try.
The water slides were fun, the foam party was the most fun I had (I think ever) The food has a wide choice, you won't find any curry or sushi but still lots of options such as salads, desserts, hot foods too plus chips and beans. Their fresh Turkish bread was the best thing and I queued up a few times for it but remember that the toppings change daily so try it more than once if you didn't like it the first time.
Not one person asked for a tip, unfortunately for me I had my wallet nicked on the way and I was surviving off my other halves dosh which she didn't share. I'll get you next year though :)
Cons: If you have a child who drinks full fat milk, it is difficult to get it heated. You'll be absolutely buggered if the kitchen is closed so buy a thermos flask and fill it a few hours ahead of schedule so it can cool down (they sometimes return it too hot and sometimes just under, but I didn't moan, I understand they were busy and cooled down the over heated myself under a cold tap once in the bottle) I would suggest having a microwave for only use of baby milk in the dining area.
The water slides need a proper lock once it's shut, I saw many kids use it when it's dry and another climbed over the side then jumped off onto the floor. His mother was on holiday mode so I guess she deserves to sit back and wait for an accident to happen.
There are no security cameras, I didn't feel entirely safe leaving my stuff but seeing as I had no cash left anyway, they can steal my underwear and socks 😂
They could do with a spicy sauce for the dining area (unless I missed it) id be happy to teach a recipe.
Extra info: We met a lovely couple with their baby, I took the dad's number as my phone was taking better pics. The hotel couldn't give me the number or email, nor could he email them my details. All I have his is name and know his profession (and where his wife grew up, the rest of the talks were just about our kids and making joke after joke)
The FREE WiFi only works in the dining area and lobby, but we're on holiday so should only check it for emergencies and taking vids/pics anyway. You can pay the €12 for 5 days which is cheap for those who NEED it.
If you do need to purchase pool toys, it's a bit cheaper if you go out and bargain but id still rather buy from the hotel as they luckily took the immediate return. (The baby was scared of all the inflatables and stopped other babies from using theirs too, it was funny but she herself was balling her eyes out...
Read moreI am a guest of this hotel for about 5 days, within those 5 amazing days spent in this hotel i felt like it served a more than enough feeling of happiness, greatfulness and a splendid time for me and my family.
The people working here, in the reception, kitchen, housekeeping and as lifegaurds are very nice and welcoming and outgoing, easy to strike a fun little conversation with. They always fulfill your needs and leave you to be satisfied, not once did i feel disappointed. The staff are always available and also always on their duties doing a great job, which shows how much good care the hotel is getting.
I love how the hotel gives this great and lovely atmosphere, where all guests are satisfied and having fun. Everyday is a new and fun day with new activities and shows. You never get bored, the shows and activities always make the guests around feel included.
The poolarea is amazing, many stools and beachbeds all around, really taking advantage of all of the spaces and at the same time still looking good and being in a good use. This hotel has a good reputation, and you really get to know why when u spend your days and nights here! The best part are the fun slides, us as adults enjoyed them haha, our kids LOVED them.
The garden is amazing, the small outside corridors leading to the hotelrooms are filled with all sorts of nice flowers , everytime you pass by you feel the breeze of the lushfulness from the flowers. Not only the flowers, but the diversity of the different trees all around the hotel are very nice, there are orange trees, olive trees, lime trees. It really completes the garden.
Not only were the pools and hotelrooms great, the food was really on top! You get served breakfast, lunch and dinner, and with all these meals you are always welcomed a nice dessert of all kind made by the amazing chefs, one of them to be Adem, and workers in the kitchen. They really know how to do it! Everything tasted so so good, many options to choose from and tables to choose from, both downstairs, upstairs, outside and inside.
The hotel location is amazing, first of all you have the beach a few minutes away from the hotel, the beach itself is amazing and is such a relaxing spot. Beside the hotel theres a touristcommition for you to browse on all of the different, available and affordable adventures, and the worker there is very welcoming.
The hotel is open and has great understandable timings of when shows, activities and food has its start, and within those times you are also free to grab snacks, tea, juices etc.
The hotel served us a very nice stay. The rooms were nice and clean, and overall had a very great atmosphere in the hotelrooms, poolarea and the lobby.
Special thanks to Shaban, who helped us alot. And with the greatness of this hotel, it made us cancel our prior to this hotel reservation to book another 3 days here in Catty Cat Garden, this shows how amazing it is here.
The price, especially for families are very very affordable and completed.
I hope fellow tourists try this hotel out, it is really worth every minute of stay!
