Sögüt köyü — Hotel in Marmaris

What a lovely village, it is like a place from a story book that we read when we were kids. I only visit here during winter season so I don’t know the summer vibes. But in winters it is quite, only filled with voices of nature and animals, blooming almond trees and spring flowers in March.

Sunsets in here are spectacular, everyday is a magic of the Helios showing his artistic powers to paint the skies…. A must see place at least once, hope the city officials will protect the beauty of this place without building huge concrete ugly homes which is already starting to pop up recently. Last one year I have seen they are constructing huge houses and hotels via muddy village roads, no planning, no civil engineers, cutting all those beautiful millennial trees and never replanting. One way to repel tourism which is the ONLY income of this village is to destroy it by building a lot of ugly things without city planning, by destroying the nature and trees. I hope soon they will recognize this and take some precautions before it...

Sonradan tatil yeri olmuş bir köy. Gerçekten bir köy. Datça’dan yola çıkıp marmaris’i gezelim diye geldik ama pişman oldum açıkçası. Küçük bir deniz alanı var onu da özel işletmeler çevirmiş yatlar yanaşmış size denize girecek alan kalmamış. 3 4 yer var yemek yemek için onlar da inanılmaz pahalı. Eski Datça gibi pahalı turistik bir yerden buraya geldik oraya pahalı diyorduk ama burası orayı da geçmiş ve geçmeyi de hak edecek bir yeri yok. Bir mekana gidiyorsun küçük bir levrek 600 lira mezeler 500 600den başlıyor. İnsanlar inanılmaz fırsatçı olmuş. Buraya gelecekseniz sadece tekne turu yapmanızı öneririm onun dışında...

Söğüt köyü hala gelişmeye açık bir yer biraz köy olarak bırakmak istemişler. Bence iyi de olmuş ama uygulama yanlış olmuş bence. Yani hiç yerel restoran yok. Yerel halkı çok göremiyorsunuz. Zaten söğüt sahilde restoranlardan başa bir yer de yok. Toplamda belki 10 tane sağlı sollu restoran var ve söğüt O kadar bir yer. Yerel halk sanki sahilden uzaklaştırılmış gibi bir görüntü var lükse kaçmak için. Denizi berrak keyifli bir yer. Ama bana kalırsa ne profesyonel ne de amatör kalabilmiş bir yer Söğüt. Olgunlaşması ve karakterleşmesi için yerel halk ile daha fazla kaynaşmalıydı...
