We have just got back from Lara Beach Homes and stayed there for 2 weeks with 2 children (1 year old and 10 year old).
We booked 2 bedroom apartment and paid the adult prices for this. So we arrived on our first day to be told our two bedroom apartment was occupied and they would move us the next day, no indication of time given. We were put into a very small 1 bedroom apartment for the night. Eventually we were moved the next afternoon but it meant we wasted a day moving rooms. We were not assisted in anyway with moving luggage and no apology was offered, nor might I add were we recompensed in anyway whatsoever for the day and a half we spent in an apartment that we had not booked. The accommodation itself is new, the apartments are clean and typically decorated in the colours on trend at the moment. It does have hob, fridge and minimal cutlery etc. There is a washing machine but no iron or hairdryers in the two apartments we stayed in. Also there was no cupboard in either of the apartments to hang clothes. There is a table which had some shelves and three drawer for your clothes. The bedrooms are incredibly small with minimal room around beds, in fact in our bedroom, you couldn’t open one of bedside drawers and the table with the drawers you couldn’t open the last two drawers for the same reason (it hit the bed!). Have certainly stayed in better. Our two bedroom apartment was split level, with one bedroom upstairs, there’s no door but you get to the top of the stairs and are in the bedroom. Same scenario with no wardrobe and the stairs are incredibly dangerous as they twist at the top but because it’s been squeezed in, there’s barely any tread to step on.
The furniture was nice and clean as expected for a new development. The site as a whole is kept clean in the common parts, but our room was only cleaned once, this includes sheets and towels being changed in the whole 15 days we were there! I’ve never known anything like it. There’s no vacuum or dustpan and brush in the rooms so you just had to kind of sit in your own filth, needless to say, I washed towels etc myself!
As previous reviewer has said, this is nowhere near a beach, it’s infact a taxi ride away which costs around £5-6 each way. The beach they recommend is not owned by the accommodation but in fact part of a number of other establishments that in effect are private run beaches. You can get free beds but you are literally sat on top of each other. They offer pavilions at 100tl for the day, roughly £13-15 depending on exchange rate. Food etc on top.
The accommodation itself is in a residential area that has a lot of building work going on, infact directly behind and to the side are working building sites. There are as previously mentioned two meagre mini supermarkets within walking distance and nothing else. You are next to a dual carriageway which has buses that take you places. There are no restaurants or anything else within walking distance.
As mentioned we had almost 4 days without water. This lead to some guests who had complained being so frustrated by the management who did not care and offered no alternative to us and a lot of people we spoke to, literally losing their “rag”. I was shocked to see staff physically fighting with guests. Luckily we were on our balcony but it was disgusting. The police turned up! I do not travel on holiday with my children and expect to see this kind of behaviour. I was appalled. No kind of compensation or even simple things like water were supplied to deal with the lack of water, simply because the owner was tight. She refused to refund anyone and stated this was because people had booked online and they had to contact their provider. However there two guests who had booked direct and paid cash on arrival which she still refused to refund. I have to be absolutely honest, we are not complainers, but you could not pay me to stay there again. Disgraceful customer service, with a money hungry owners who don’t care. Read moreI have been working in tourism industry for last 20 years and stayed in hundreds of hotels in many other countries this is the worst hotel I have stayed until now. The apart rooms we were given was build in one of the floor of triplex villa building. there are stairs in the middle of the room but was closed with a wall. The bed is very uncomfortable and dirty. There are cracks on the wall . When we checked in I realized there are worms in shower because of that we could not shower first day. I bought bleach and cleaned the shower myself for 3 days and finally I killed all those worms you can see on the photo. we we supplied cleaning services after third day. When we arrived at restaurant for breakfast there were hundreds of flies around the buffet and tables. The restaurant dont have air conditioning system that's why they keep open all the windows so all the flies getting inside from rubbish bins just 10 meters away from hotel . They even put a huge ventilator fan just next to buffet in order to keep flies away from buffet The food on buffet look like left from the day before. Don't forget the use face mask if you dont want flies get inside your mouth. When we walk around buffet an old man who is owner of the hotel was yelling at staff. All the vegetables fruit and chees were very dry. I tried to explain all this problem to owner his name is Rubin he got angry to me and said I am lying. instead he apologize he said that I came to hotel to create problems. I said I paid 100 USD per day and it is not worth for that service. We just left the restaurant and had breakfast in our room ourselves. When I go out the hotel for walk I heard that owner was telling receptionist: if I complain to local agent he will do something to me.Unfortunately I didn't read comments before make reservation although I do it all the time. We stayed 1 week with my wife and 2 kids. Pool was always dirty also the tiles around the pool very slippery .I was called from their sales office they asked me if I am not happy I can leave the hotel but never offered me refund. It was a check if I made any complain to local agency.. The hotel doesn't have beach but supply shuttle once a day to their own beach restaurant. If you take anything from a outside they will want you no food or drink from outside and they force you buy everything from beach restaurant.if you don't want to ruin your holiday or don't want to have any accident or food poisoning please don't book here.The owner of the hotel was swearing his staff and behind customers.he is not tolerating one single complain as if every thing perfect there. This hotel doesn't even deserve 1 point. If one day you win lottery that offers you free stay in this hotel you should not accept it otherwise it can cost...

These apartments are not within walking distance to the beach like the impression given and not all apartments are near the pool but along an unmade road with only 2 basic shops and 1 basic restaurant nearby. Water supply to the apartment went off for 2 days so far. Could not therefore shower, use toilet, washing machine etc. Some of the staff seemed amused with the situation. We were told by management there was a problem with the pipework in the whole of Antalya and would be resolved in a few hours. Water supply still not working 48hrs later. We telephoned a different hotel in Antalya centre and was told they didn't have any problem with their water supply. When we asked for a refund for the rest of the week so we could go elsewhere the manager refused and said no refunds could be given and offered us another hotel for 1 night until water issue resolved. The hotel they sent us to 'Tourist Hotel' managed by the same people was well below the standard of property we had paid for, the room was small, walls were so thin you could here the conversation of guests next door and the air conditioning there was not working properly! So basically we left 1 problem to go to another. The staff at the apartments failed to call us to inform us that the water supply was back on, we had to chase this up ourselves, and when we returned to the apartment that evening all the food and drink and laundry detergent we had left in the apartment for our return had been removed as if they had checked us out completely!!
