MARBES HOTEL — Hotel in Pınar Mahallesi

The hotel is a walking distance from the bus station and the main shopping area. It's a basic city hotel, clean and functional. My room was on the small side but had everything necessary including tea/coffee facilities, windows that can open and a new noiseless air-conditioner. The restaurant served a richer variation of continental breakfast - cheese, olives, fruit, butter, fresh bread, scrambled eggs and, (to my big surprise!) chips. There is no air conditioning in the restaurant, natural draught from open doors and windows cools the air. The WiFi, on the other hand, was excellent both inside and in the close vicinity of the hotel. Disinfection and anti-COVID measures were impeccable. Staff are young and friendly with basic English but technology helps a lot nowadays. Stopped over for 1 night before we continued onto Kapikule. Location was the only positive thing as it was easy to find. However, it didn’t meet basic expectations from a hotel. The room stunk of cigarettes and was stuffy. The room&bathroom didn’t look like it had been properly cleaned after previous occupants. The wifi password that was given didn’t work. The restaurant is perfect everything is tasty and delicious but if it comes to rooms ahh hell naw man.
