We arrived at the Movenpick Istanbul Saklıvadi at 10 AM. Since it was my fourth visit, I requested a room on the B1 level due to its better view, even though I had made the reservation on May 19. The receptionist responded positively, suggesting I have breakfast while he arranged a suitable room for me. ||||Upon my return, he informed me that the only available room was on the B2 level, which faces the street and is notoriously noisy, making it difficult to sleep due to traffic. I reminded him that a similar situation had occurred during my last visit, and he had reassured me that he would make it up to me this time. He then casually mentioned that no rooms would be available until 3 PM, laughing as he spoke.||||Feeling disrespected as a customer, I engaged in a lengthy discussion with him. Eventually, another staff member, whose name I will withhold in hopes that they improve their service, promised to find me a room but asked me to wait. When I inquired about the duration of the wait, he mentioned it could be until 1:30 PM or 1 PM, depending on when the current family checked out. I witnessed that family check out at 12:25 PM.||||Despite this, I was made to wait until 3:15 PM, with the excuse being that the room was still being cleaned. This left us feeling devastated after spending six hours at the reception. My daughter hadn’t eaten, my health was deteriorating, and my husband was so exhausted that he fell asleep on the couch. There was hardly anyone at the reception, so it was not a matter of overwhelming demand.||||After further discussion, I was told that my room was the last one to be cleaned. I would like to address the hotel management directly, as we felt humiliated, disrespected, and undervalued. How can a guest be made to wait for a full six hours, especially when a family checked out at 12:30 PM? Under what circumstances does this happen in a hotel?||||I urge the management to review the CCTV footage and take this matter seriously. I refuse to let this experience go unaddressed, as it has overshadowed an entire day of our vacation spent waiting at the reception. The psychological toll of being treated poorly by the staff, with their dismissive attitudes and laughter, is unacceptable. A room should not require three hours of cleaning, and if this is the standard, then the hotel should reevaluate its operations.||||I will continue to share my experience and ensure that others are aware of the staff's attitudes and how they treat guests with disrespect and...

Read moreI am writing this letter to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care and service provided by your staff, particularly Musa, during my mother's extended stay at your hotel.
My mother had the pleasure of staying at your hotel for an extended period, and throughout her time there, Musa and the entire team went above and beyond in ensuring her comfort and well-being. On several occasions, when my mother experienced sudden spikes in her blood pressure, Musa and his team responded with great urgency and compassion. They not only drove her to the hospital themselves but also remained by her side, offering patience, kindness, and unwavering support throughout the entire process.
It is never easy to be away from home, especially for someone of my mother's age and health condition. However, the consistent care and attentiveness provided by Musa and the rest of the staff made her stay not only comfortable but also reassuring for our entire family. We are incredibly grateful for the personal attention and care that Musa showed, which went far beyond the usual expectations of hotel service.
Please extend our heartfelt thanks to Musa and all those involved in taking such excellent care of my mother. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication are truly commendable and have made a lasting positive impact on us.
Thank you once again for the exceptional service provided by your team. We will always remember the kindness and care shown to my mother during her stay...
