I have travelled to Turkey for many years and stayed in various regions in Antalya and the Cullinan is right at the top. Overall I really enjoyed my stay at Cullinan Belek but there are areas that could have bumped up the experience more especially for the price paid. ||||Positives:||- The room was great with everything you need and more. The smart system in the room was a great touch. Our room had a great balcony area - probably the best I've seen with a standard room in Turkey. The cleaners did a great job aswell.||||- The staff overall were amazing, very polite and all worked very hard.||||- As a football fan the Irish bar was great I really enjoyed the outside area, the staff were extremely attentive and our glasses were never empty. Especially the lady that worked in the late afternoons I didn't catch her name but she was great.||||- The food selection was great on the whole, the main restaurant buffet was more than good with lots of options and the 24/7 bar on the reception floor was another good option to have more of a sit down meal. The use of the a la cartes as food during the day were good aswell with plenty of options.||||- The drinks selection was great, being able to use the QR codes on the sun beds to order your drinks was a good touch and the staff on roller skates worked extremely hard. Shoutout to the lady who worked around the pools on skates (again I didn't get the name) but she was extremely friendly and remembered our orders.||||- Selection of pools were great, we enjoyed the smaller pool behind the spa as it was mostly always quiet and therefore relaxing. The indoor pool was good aswell for swimmers.||||- Although it wasn't used often the gym was excellent for a hotel gym one of the best I've seen.||||- The spa facilities were excellent both saunas, steam room and plunge pools were great at no extra charge.||||- The hotel providing the lounge at the hotel after checkout was appreciated and the private terminal and lounge provided at Antalya airport really helped beat the massive queues.||||Negatives ||||- For the price you should be eligible to use the a la carte restaurants at night at least once or twice during your stay.||||- The hotel is a family hotel rather than the couples getaway it seems to be marketed towards. Not a massive issue but it is very noticeable the amount of families that were at the hotel.||||- The hotel is catered towards Russians, the DJ performances every night had primarily Russian music and there was maybe 2/3 songs per night that were recognisable as a British guest. After browsing the hotels Instagram location there were a lot of Russian "influencers" with 1 million plus followers at the hotel providing copious amounts of videos in all the various rooms and areas in the hotel. The cynic in me may suggest there is something going on there. We spoke to 3 British parties during our week stay and they were the only English speaking people we heard.||||- Following on from my point about the DJ performances, the entertainment shows were amateur at times. We didn't bother staying longer than 10-15 mins at some shows as they were the quality of school shows at times. We have seen much better at lower budget hotels.||||- Furthermore it was noticeable that some staff members lacked basic English and were unable to understand our requests. There were occasions where other staff members had to be called over so they could understand what we were saying.||||- Following from the previous point, probably beyond the hotels control in fairness at times, but we did have to report the horde of Russian children that caused chaos at times in the hotel. The same group of children were acting dangerously in pool areas, fighting each other on the football pitch, kicking footballs down the corridor and being nuisances at the spa. Parents were nowhere to be seen at times. Again, not what you would expect to see at a luxury hotel.||||- The manners of guests was terrible at times pushing in queues, handling food without the equipment provided and speaking very rudely at staff. There were several occasions when I went up to bars and whilst being served guests would jump the queues behind me and shout their orders to the staff. Again there is only so much that the hotel can do about this but you would hope for better from a luxury hotel. ||||- Although the staff worked extremely hard it was noticeable that this was a result of some areas being understaffed. Particularly the Azure bar at night and the bar near the Ice-cream and waffle area in the day. The roller-skaters were covering areas that were too big and could've done with more help.||||- Lack of lifeguards around all pools and the beach was noticeable. For whole days there was no lifeguards at the pool nearest the spa and the indoor pool. The included spa area was never manned. The lifeguards we did see at the pool nearest the children's slides and at the pier on the beach were infrequent and were on their phones the rare occasions we did see them. We have since read more than one review which says the same.||||- We noticed that for three days in a row there were bad injuries on the beach volleyball. This could've just been a freak incident but we saw people being golf carted away and in wheelchairs in reception.||||- We didn't appreciate being hassled by staff members to write a Trip Advisor review including their name on them for some sort of extra credit. We understand this and have had similar at other hotels but we felt uncomfortable in the way we were asked to do so. It is noticeable reading through the reviews and you can tell when this has happened.||||Overall we did have a lovely stay at the Cullinan and the positives did outweigh...
Read moreWe recently spent a vacation at the Cullinan Resort in Antalya. The resort is simply the best in the region, surpassing even renowned names like Rixos, Regnum, and Maxx Royal. Here's a detailed review of our stay:
Overall Experience The Cullinan Resort provides an outstanding holiday experience. From the moment we arrived, we were pleased with the high-quality service and facilities. The resort offers a unique and elevated level of luxury that sets it apart from other top-tier resorts in Antalya.
Beach Club and Entertainment The beach club parties and dance shows were a highlight of our stay. The resort offers a variety of activities that cater to all interests, ensuring that guests are always entertained. The sound system at the parties is top-notch, and the DJs, especially DJ Levent and his colleagues, are exceptional, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
Fitness and Wellness The gym facilities are excellent, with professional trainers like Ozgur who provide personalized and effective workouts. The yoga sessions were another standout feature, thanks to the amazing yoga trainer who made each session enjoyable and relaxing, it was good even to have a talk with the owner of the hotel Mr. Mehmet Aygun during my workout.
Food and Dining The quality of food at Cullinan Resort is exceptional. The variety and quality are unmatched, with offerings that go beyond typical resort fare. One memorable highlight was the grilled octopus served at the open buffet, a delicacy not commonly found in other hotels. The presence of consistent, high-quality chefs from different cuisines (Indian, Greek, Asian, Turkish, Italian, and Japanese) ensures a diverse and delicious dining experience. Additionally, the resort offers numerous free à la carte restaurants, providing guests with a wide range of dining options.
Rooms, Service and Staff The service at Cullinan Resort is impeccable. The 24-hour WhatsApp support line is extremely convenient, providing immediate assistance whenever needed. The waitstaff are highly professional and attentive, many of whom have been with the resort for over a year, which speaks volumes about the quality and consistency of service. The rooms are super clean and very modern with high technology and smart screen, have nespresso coffee machines with great view of sea with super green huge golf garden. House keeping service is super.
Family -Friendly with and without kids: Cullinan Resort is an ideal holiday destination for both families with children and those without. The aqua water games are fabulous and provide endless fun for kids and adults alike. Additionally, the resort features a huge golf club and expansive green areas, perfect for relaxation and recreation. The kids club really good, my nephews enjoyed it a lot and have enough time to us for free time without kids.
Beach and Amenities The beach at Cullinan Resort is pristine and well-maintained, with clean sands and clear waters. It is exceptionally well-prepared, featuring a variety of restaurants and snack bars that cater to all tastes. Guests can enjoy a range of delicious food and drink options while relaxing by the sea. Moreover, the availability of numerous free à la carte restaurants ( Italian, Turkish and Greek fish restaurants) enhances the lunch and dining experience, offering diverse culinary delights.
The hotel has paid a La carte restaurants such as Japanese and Steakhouse that I didn’t try to be fare.
Organization and Accessibility The resort is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and access various facilities by foot. Everything you need is within walking distance, which adds to the convenience and overall enjoyment of the stay.
Conclusion In conclusion, our stay at Cullinan Resort in Antalya was outstanding. The combination of high-quality facilities, exceptional service, and diverse entertainment options makes it a perfect holiday destination. We highly recommend Cullinan Resort and look forward to returning for another unforgettable experience. I hope to come back again next year,...
Read moreHOTEL: Beautifil hotel, big territory, but still feels cozy. Beautiful area in front of the Hotel with bars, pre-party apero space, with beautiful white decoration pools and lamps in the form of the flowers. Really very nice design and architecture.
ROOM: We had a Standard Golf view room. We had enough of space for 2 adults and 2 kids (2 and 7 y.o). What could have been better done, is doors isolation, it was possible to hear people talking in the corridor, and the worst were the moments, when the room service staff were talking loudly to each other every early morning. At the beginning of our stay there were BVLGARI toiletries (beautiful smell), but after few days they changed it to Aromatherapie (was very sharp in smell and not suitable for kids skin and hair, too smelly and parfumized, we were also tired of its strong smell after one day). Room service were not filling up our cup board with fresh cups, it is annoying when you need always to call and ask for that. Cleaning of the rooms was Ok. But a few times the cleaning lady forgot the rags at our room.
Main Restaurant: Very spacious. There was a food choice, but after a couple of days you become tired of it. We found the meat choice (grilled meat) very poor, you had only 1-2 choices and the same every day. Special dishes of the day were repeating every 3rd day, and it was quite specific and quite boring (like turkey, veal tongue). There were too many deep fried dishes. And for kids the menu was quite poor. Desserts menu was great.
Service : We noticed really many staff members who tried to do their best, they want to please the guests, be quick. Big special thanks to our server at the main restaurant in the evenings - HANIFI. He made every evening very special and was always super attentive and quick. For such people we would come back :)
There were still many staff members who were slow or forgetting the orders. But in general the impression stayed good, thanks to those active and professional ones.
SPORT SERVICES: We were lucky to meet the Swimming Trainer IRYNA, who gave 4 lessons to our 7yo son. Before this he was quite sensitive to water, and refused trying to swim without swim arm bands. After 4 lessons he became another person: he was diving, swimming technically correctly, breathing correctly, and became a big fan of swimming. BIG THANKS TO IRYNA! You should definitely try these lessons with Iryna, she is very professional, friendly, speaking different languages.
Another highlight was Flying Yoga with NADEZDA. Amazing experience, great way of keeping your body and mind toned. Nadezda speaks different languages and explains and supports you during the class amazingly. I really enjoyed and feel sorry I didn't participate every day! Highly recommended!
Kids club: Nice children's space. Spacious and for different kids' ages. The staff were kind and friendly. Big special thanks to the Anastasiia and Svitlana, and there were also few other ladies from Turkey and Kazahstan, unfortunately I forgot the names. They all were always happy to see our kids, spent time with them and left beautiful memories.
Evening entertainment: Every evening at 21:45 there was a great show on stage (circus, dancers, folk groups, etc.), and afterwards guests could move to the Party. Music was good, except one point that I didn't like. There were often Rusaian songs playing. I find it disrespectful to non-russian guests. I think not only for Ukrainian guests, but also for other nationalities, who travelled to Turkey to a luxury hotel not to listen to Russian songs. I think rules need to be the same everywhere: when musicians at the Bar are forbidden nowadays to sing Russian songs in hotels, this rule needs to be applied also for the party music. Gym: Great gym. We didn't get what staff are doinf there. They were not helpful, never came to ask if we needed some advise or help with machines. They were very concentrated on their phones. The man working there was...
