Absolutely impeccable. Fully deserves its 5* status (unlike many I've been to!) The staff are all incredible. Friendly, professional and go above and beyond to please. The food at the buffet all tastes like something you'd order at a restaurant. A La carte restaurants are nice but tbh not worth waking up early enough to book them. This let's the hotel down imo. For what you pay, you shouldn't have to stand in a queue at the crack of dawn for half an hour to book a table 2 days in advance. It's very wheelchair accessible, with ramps and lifts. Even the beach has slats down between the rows of sunbeds and cabanas to allow wheelchair access. The mattresses are so comfortable. Mine felt too firm so Housekeeping turned it over to the 'soft side' and it's perfect. My husband finds the firm side better so he has it on his side of our bed. You can generally find space by the pools quite easily. There isn't anyone waking up at a 6am to put towels down or any of that nonsense! The waiting staff are exceptional. All so well trained and helpful. They work together really smoothly too. The shows in the evening are absolutely world class and such a great evenings entertainment guaranteed. The pools were 32 degrees the whole time we were there - making them absolutely perfect for chilling out in for hours. Also meant my daughter didn't get too cold and get all shakey and blue!! The pavillians on the beach are next level luxury! Comfortable sofas and a bell to ring for service whenever you need or want anything. Pillows, cocktails, fruit platters, lunch, champagne, fresh towels, ice cold water... Its the best way to enjoy the beach and our two pavilion days were the highlight of our holiday.
The spa is very good. Lots of treatment options and the staff are all absolutely lovely; they go above and beyond to make you feel at ease and make everything perfect for you. I highly recommend the hamam - it's unlike anything you'd have had outside of Turkey before. The spa pool was apparently 29 degrees but honestly was far colder than that. They allow kids in it in the morning and couples playing with balls etc so hardly the lovely tranquil environment you want after paying €150 for a massage!
The small convenience shop is so crudely over priced, I thought the shopkeeper was joking with me! A £25 barbie set was on sale for €99!! Pop in to Belek for €10 taxi journey and find all the same stuff much cheaper. A hat I bought from the hotel shop broke after a few days, when I took it back to complain they had the cheek to make out id broken it on purpose (for reasons unclear to anyone but them). Was really upset by the whole interaction, even though they eventually conceded that I wouldn't have purposely broken a hat just to go in and complain. We stayed in the main building, almost directly under reception and found that it could be very noisy at times. Probably not too huge of a problem unless, like me, you need to nap in the afternoon (or have young children who need to!) although, the few days before we left, the hotel was at capacity and kids could still be running around and shrieking by our door right up til 11pm. So be aware if you're in the main building during peak times.
I'm nit picking, of course. This hotel is the first I've ever stayed in that I'd happily come back to instead of exploring somewhere new. It's got so much included that we needed far longer than 10 days to possibly do it all whilst...
Read moreNot a long time ago(29.05-4.06.2024), I visited an awesome hotel called Gloria Golf Resort. My family and I feel in love with the place and are willing to come back soon. What was that fascinating about it?
First, the nourishment was delightful, with the wide variety of snack bars and restaurants, everybody could find something that suits them the best. The main restaurant was very good. The myriad of fish and meat there was pleasing, too. Fortunately, no one had eaten some rotten food or got some infection, thus we were all left fulfilled and healthy. All the drinks were there on top, as well. Cocktails and ordinary drinks were really good. The plenty of bottled beer and sodas were obviously dope. Another awesome thing about this hotel were its activities. The miniclub was gripping for my 2 year old baby and for a 13 years old teen that could play basketball or some ps5 games, here and there. Additionally, the aquapark was fascinating, the tremendous amount of water slides was engaging. Having a ton of guardians, it is safe to say that your child will be in the right hands in the kidsclub. The day to day activities were cool too, such as darts, volleyball, basketball, soccer and more. Furthermore, the water activities were versatile, like water boxing and some sort of jumping. The night shows in Amphiteatre and Gloria Arena were gripping to watch.
The service was on top, too. All the waiters and waitresses were rapid at serving you several drinks or chips. Additionally all the bellboys were helpful and willing to give you a lift to your hotel number. Ordering something to your room number would take 5 minutes tops. Last but not least, the room number was gorgeous, our family suite was huge, with a vast balcony, it is axiomatic that it was a delight to spend time in your room. Cleaners were doing their job perfectly and the showering things were always in stock. The pools were clean and the water was heated, it is very important, when you have a toddler.
To make a long story short, our visit was a delight. However, there are some things they could improve. The patisserie did not reach my expectations, it was working until 5 pm and the little deserts were not tasty, as well. When paying so much money I was waiting for a delightful mix of nuts. Although, there were only the cheapest nuts possible, without cashews, little fistic and almonds, which is unadmitable.
I hope they will correct the tiny issues. Nevertheless, we spent an awesome time with my family. It is the only one of our 11 visited hotels in Antalya, which we want to visit again. With love...
Read moreWe stayed as a party of seven on an all inclusive basis at the Gloria Golf Resort. My parents and brother each had a suite in the hotel, my husband, two children and I had a beautiful family suite by the garden pool.
The food was superb, we were spoilt for choice at every meal - breakfast on the balcony above the main buffet (in the Italian restaurant) was very special indeed. Most days though we stayed by the garden pool bar for breakfast. The Gloria pub was our favourite lunchtime venue and in the evening be sure to visit the sushi bar which is open from 6pm before heading to whichever restaurant or buffet you're going to. If you're looking to book tables in the a la carte restaurants do so early in the morning, they take reservations two days ahead and you need to be down there before 8:30am. We ate at the Italian and it was super but the time flexibility of the evening buffet, which was always incredible, won us over the rest of the time. Be sure to stop by the Patisserie, if you're all inclusive, it's all included - pop by for afternoon tea or pick out some chocolates or cookies to have by the pool. Wow! That is all!
We went to Belek by taxi to shop, 10 euros there, 10 euros back. A quick shop returning with some great clothes, handbags, purses and trainers.
Nothing was too much trouble and when my daughters soft toy had an accidental trip to the laundry with the bedsheets (which are changed daily) with translation assistance of our favourite bar tender, Tercan, we were reunited with a much cleaner pink bunny rabbit! Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was focussed on ensuring the very best of times was enjoyed by everyone.
I would like to give special mention and extra thanks to Tercan, Everan and the team at the Garden Pool Bar. Also the lifeguards at the water park who never seem to get a mention but they were good fun, lovely with the children and always kept a keen eye out to ensure everyone was safe as well as having a great time.
The evening entertainment was brilliant we thoroughly enjoyed all the shows. From nowhere a beach disco, beyond the calibre of the exclusive and permanent haunts of Ibiza, appeared for a super evening.
Our journey home was spent discussing when we should return, with a commitment to do so and for longer than a week next time. Everyone deserves this truly memorable family holiday experience.
Stayed May - June 2016,...
