At first appearance, this hotel is beautiful. You need to take a boat to get here. The main facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Our room was extremely large, clean and modern. However, there were many problems:||1. On our first day there was no hot water and the electricity was barely on. After we complained, the manager agreed to leave the electricity on all day so that we would have hot water, air conditioning, WiFi and power. Nothing works if the electricity is turned off.||2. We were told there was WiFi. It had been turned off during COVID and did not work for more than 24 hours. ||3. The walkways were being renovated. In some areas, there was no safe space to walk and you had to walk through dirt.||4. There was no mosquito netting around the bed.||||The staff built a fire in the fireplace in our room. The fireplace had not been tested and the chimney was blocked. Our room instantly filled with smoke and nearly burned down with all our belongings in it. It was a very dangerous situation and we had to switch rooms late at night.||However, Pineapple Bay refused to make any refund or accommodation, they just gave us a free bottle of cheap wine. We understand the owner, Mr Amos, was aware of this and did not want to make up for our unsafe and terrible experience. ||One other thing to add. The room had a lovely jacuzzi. However, even once the hot water started to work, there was only enough to fill it halfway and it would not cover the jets.||The only shining light was our butler, Fred. He really tried to make up for all of the problems. He is extremely attentive and understood good customer service. He even gave us avocados from the tree to take with us.||We also understand Pineapple Bay has already tried to have this review...
