Very nice location on the Nile. Staff were efficient and friendly, and the food was always excellent. However the rooms were in a shoddy state. I did not have high expectations, but compared to the other wilderness lodges I stayed at during my time in in Uganda, the rooms were by far the worst. The rooms are all solar powered, which is great but their extremely limited battery capacity means they have nowhere to plug in electronics (besides a low amp USB port) so I was not able to plug in my sleep apnoea machine at night or charge any electronics in the room. The low altitude on the equator also meant temperatures at night are quite uncomfortable with no fans to help cool off. All doors donât latch, and the main door has only a small bar lock to keep it closed. Many other small things are also in a state of disrepair in cabin 1 (closest to the main building). For example the soap holder in the bathroom fell out of the wall on its first use, and was never repaired in my stay, and the floorboards were very uneven and rotting from below. If you are willing to stay in an uncomfortable and disrepaired room, then it was otherwise...

For our last night, we returned from a boat cruise to find the cooks busy grilling and the dining area set up with lights on the floor. It was very lovely setting to look out on the nile. We were also able to see an occasional hippo head pop up. Your safety is very important and security is provided to walk you to the dining area and back to your lodge. The lodge has a desk and reading books but the lighting is very dim. They provide a wake up call complete with cups of tea or coffee. I can't say enough about Joshua and his team.Thank you to Chris, the general supervisor, Patrick a supervisor, the cooks Abbie and Amos. I also want to thank David for taking my husband and myself on a walk and talk when we skipped the morning drive. It was very interesting to learn about his community through his eyes. ||FYI-There is a large bathroom area with a tub, walk in shower, and double sink. You really need to bring your own toiletries as just small bars of soap...

That is a definite thumbs up đ.||This is a strategic place to stay, especially if you're planning to see more of Murchison Falls National Park. Exceptional meals, excellent customer care. Car got a flat tyre, and our morning game drive was ruined, but Joshua helped us all the way. Ensured that we were satisfied with the repair service, and also helped us make arrangements for an afternoon cruise, and a morning Game Drive the very next day. We had all our lunch packed, and ready to go. ||Cabin 2 has hippos visiting. Definitely ask for that one. |They are also ten minutes away from the Ferry Crossing, which is great.||Picturesque setting. You have trees, the Nile, right across, and beautiful Cabins.||The rates are affordable. Thank you to the team and staff for your hospitality. The wake up calls were on time, and did come in handy.||Thank you for making our honeymoon amazing. We...
