My one of favorite place in Uganda. If you want to hide from people, if you want to create your own quality time, if u don’t like the fancy tourist places this is the place to go in Jinja. Have different type of room, or tent. I took their tent, it’s good tent, with great mattress. Night in the tent without rain is amazing, with insects songs and river song made my night wonderful. However the rain and wind can destroy that beautiful experience. I got rain in my second night, wet wet. The staffs arrived to my tent almost immediately, and help me to move under the roof. Here, it can have some issues if we have a lot of tent in the same time, there is no big space under the roof. I was lucky that I was alone with the tent. Staffs, changed wet bedsheets, blanket immediately, so that I can sleep without issue. Staffs and owner, all of them are very helpful. Most of the staff doesn’t speak good English, but the amazing chef is helpful, he cooks well and give good information, help for other request. Owner, Queen is very informative, I advise that you call to her before you go there, so that she can give good advice to reach to the place, or arrange the transport. She will not charge you higher rate. Her rate can be the best rate. I didn’t call her in advance, so I have to pay more than triple price. 😅 N lost a lot of time n energy. Food! The most important part. The food there is super delicious. Big breakfast. For dinner and lunch, you can order in advance to cook or you can even prepare your own dishes. They have basic kitchen that you can use, n BBQ place. Meat can be provided from village, n fish can come from Nile river. Also, we can enjoy the Nile. Swim… or canoe. Call some canoes around the river n you can visit a bit the area. Well, there is no life jacket. I want to go back there again. If you are not beer drinker, bring your own drink. If not you can still ask bodaboda guy to go to town n buy. The price of beer in BN is the best in all Uganda. 4K, most of the cheapest place r 5K. The charging point, I didn’t check with them how the system work as my stay is only 2 nights n I have enough power with my power bank n computer. Seem the system is not...

Read moreWe intended to stop by for a couple days and ended up staying for a whole week! Queen ( the owner) was an extremely generous and kind host. She even offered us free transportation back to Kampala with her! The place is tranquil, green, spacious yet intimate, and beautiful - all right on the river. You have your own private bay to swim in and spot to sunbathe if that's your thing. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful. The staff was friendly and Queen was able to arrange any activities we wanted to do. She had bicycles to borrow, invited us on evening walks, and got drinks with us. There are big beautiful birds hanging around and fisherman offering boat rides. This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stops during our 2 month East Africa trip. I highly recommend it! And you have options to fit low budget (tent camping with shared kitchen) to mid-range ( self-contained room and eating at the restaurant). Call ahead so Queen can make arrangements, as staff has limited English. It can be difficult to find the entrance (no sign) so another reason...
