Jowillis Hotel — Hotel in Kabale

We found this hotel while looking for a campsite for one night. Already from the deceiving signs outside, we should have smelled something wrong. The signs both stated 200mt distance, although it was more like half kilometre of dirt and bumpy road. We spoke with a manager and found out that the camping is only for tents on a grass pitch. We have a camping expedition vehicle, and all we needed was a place to park, a plug to charge our laptop, and a shower in the morning, we would sleep in our camper. We agreed on the price, including the use of one room for showers and electricity outside on the balcony for our laptop. We set all our things, walked upstairs on the balcony to plug our computer, and paid the monies due, as agreed. The hotel was empty, the staff was really giving us a bad look and it was not long after one woman came to say that the manager called and we were now not allowed to use the hotel premises but had to remain inside our car, we will not be given the use of a room for a shower in the morning but could use a hose in the garden where there is the designated area for tents, also, if we wanted a shower, more money was needed, and of course we couldn't charge our laptop no more. We understood that we were not welcome anymore in the hotel and started to pack our things, getting ready to leave before it got too dark. When we asked our money back, a young man came by, and we thought he wanted to apologise and save the evening. Instead, he started to come up with all sorts of excuses and sporadically lying as if we were born yesterday. He said that the manager was in Kampala with the director, and the person we spoke to was a pedestrian who had nothing to do with the hotel. Furthermore, he said we could stay and use the shower in the public toilet of the restaurant. The "shower" turned out to be a sink in the men's toilet positioned just behind a urinal...that was simply disgusting. I was very disappointed about the treatment received. We got our money back ( luckily) and left. No wonder the place was empty, plenty of better choices in Kabale and surrounding areas. Do not come to...

Fab place if you find it. Listed as Jowlis motel online and at the different site and when you turn up, it's miles away and listed as JoWillis hotel! Clarify this disparity.
