Kings Hotel Kabale — Hotel in Kabale

We stopped here on our way to lake bunyonyi after a long drive from Kampala, not wanting to have our driver attempt the mountain roads to the lake in the dark. At first glance, this is proper no-frills: simple rooms, no tv, view on the main street passing through the town. But it turned out to be worse - room configuration was poor, with the mosquito net not centred above the bed, according limited effectiveness; water pressure was miserable in the shower, and electricity was turned off when we first arrived.||||If you do decide to have dinner here, be aware that even though good is set out in a buffet-style format, it isn't! Each item you pick costs something, which we only discovered when the bill came.||||The worst part came at night: given Kabale is situated on the main trucking road between Uganda and Rwanda, the corridors were full of rowdy truckers in the middle of the night, banging on doors and peering through our windows while they were on the balcony. ||||In conclusion, hindsight tells us that we should have made the push to lake bunyonyi instead of staying the night at kabale. The lake is only 40 mins away and we'll worth spending...

We were scheduled to go gorilla tracking in Bwindi and spent a night here. The rooms are very basic and quite old, but everything was very clean. The customer service is excellent. The staff are warm and friendly, and are genuinely happy to help us. Huge shout outs to the manager who went out of his way to help us contact our driver as we did not have a sim card and wifi was not available at this accommodation. Restaurant is on site, so you do not have to wander far for a bite to eat. Food...

Best thing was the hot hot water |Communication was very depressing and difficult with the staff. Many questions we asked were given poor responses blank looks. There was no guidance from reception staff with anything, from prices we should pay to distances to places and general navigation.|We had tv in our room which you cannot change the channel it’s controlled by downstairs.|The smell of smoke all the time was horrendous.|Location is convenient.|Check out Capricorn same price...
