Kelele Lodge is just an amazing place to stay! I loved the experience and would recommend everyone to stay here if you are around the area.
Waking up with one of the most amazing views I have ever seen and enjoying the delicious breakfast overviewing Lake Mwamba, was my highlight.
The lodge is located among the crater lakes, which offer so many different activities, such as hiking, cycling (the lodge has bikes you can use), visiting the Mahoma Falls, and it is the perfect spot to do day trips to Queen Elizabeth, Rwenzori Mountains, to see the gorillas at Kibale National Park and many more.
I had the privilege to discover the lodge and its associated Kumenya Eco-School NGO, thanks to a friend. That is why, above all the incredible lodge experiences, while staying at the lodge you also directly support the community project, meaning that you actually contribute something very positive to the community while enjoying the beautiful lodge.
Actually, if you are also interested in getting to know the community project all staff members are super welcoming and friendly and will be most happy to show you around and introduce you to the ideas, goals and structures.
Thanks to all staff members for making the days among the crater lakes an unforgetable...

The lodge is just an extension of their work with the community and it's great to know you are contributing to their projects- just by staying here. I personally love to wake up surrounded by the sounds of nature (yes, roosters wake you up early, lol) and of the kids coming in the morning to the Kumwenya School, located just a few meters away from our cabins. This lodge has the most mesmerizing views to the Mwamba Lake, and both sunrises and sunsets are just worth the stay (especially with a cold beer). Cold water in the shower, but you even enjoy it after a hot day. The staff is extremely welcoming, and Julius cooks the most delicious food ever! Thank you all for making our stay so memorable.
