I had an awful experience with Pangolin Nest. When I arrived, there was an issue with my room : the AC was not working and the door did not lock from the inside, meaning anybody could just get in. This felt very unsafe as a solo female traveller (especially as the hotel was completely empty). I was moved to another room, but there as well the A/C was not working. The receptionist replaced the batteries and insisted that it works, but it was just blowing really hot air. The food menu was also very basic and unhealthy food, and there is no restaurant to eat, just the tables in the lobby and garden. After waiting for a while to see if the A/C worked, I decided to leave and find another accomodation. When I took my bags back to reception to wait for my taxi, the manager showed up and was very upset that I am leaving. She was reprimanding the receptionist and complaining that she did not want to lose a client, being very insistant that I have to stay. Read moreI have found here the prettiest boutique hotel I have ever stayed in! With a double flavour of "home" and "heaven om earth". The garden is just nothing less than gorgeous! The dining room and lobby are making you feel like you're alone, and at home. The bedrooms are cozy, and the WiFi is perfect for one who needs to work, but I advise to forget your files during a few hours, and enjoy the quality of this silence, sitting in the garden, watching the birds and trees. It's a place where you forget that you're in Kampala, you may even forget that you have another home elsewhere.
I lived half of my life in hotels and furnished apartments in the last 15 years, and this place is over all my expectations. I'll come back every time I'll...
