My family and I (4 of us) visited this lodge. I like to share my great experience below:-
Staff: All (truly means everyone) staff are very warm and helpful. On arrival, the manager wait me from front of the reception to welcome us and helping to move the luggage’s.
Then bring us to lobby and served us a towel and small drinks to refresh.
Note: This is part of service and not extra charge!
Facility: There is a very nice natural stylish design dining area, swimming pool, WiFi at lobby/common area, bar, and restaurant.
Food: They have a very good and keen chef. He trying his best to do every dish top of the top to ensure customer enjoy. For example; he choose fresh material to cook, trying to improve local simple chapati, prepared own hot chocolate, etc… We are very impressed for his hard work and passionate for his role. I am sure you will enjoy.
Location: The lodge is top of the hill and you will have an unbelievable view over to the park and village. You will have your breakfast in middle of the hill side (unbelievable view with sunrise).
However, I have to be honest that the path to the lodge from bottom of the hill is not Tarmac. This means during raining day and extra care is needed.
Infrastructure: There is only a WiFi in lobby area and not in the room plus the internet speed can be improved if there is such opportunity. Lodge owner perhaps can consider to extend the WiFi...
Read moreKigarama Wilderness Lodge is a luxurious resort. It is a fairly new resort that is making its mark as one of the top resorts for tourists in the Mburo area. The cottages are fancy, each has a balcony with great views of the valley. Additionally, the room also has a reinforced glass window with a nice viewing area too. The restroom was clean, stocked with the usual toiletries and also had sanitary napkins. This was a nice touch as other resorts generally did not provide it. Food was good and the staff were helpful. They also have a nice swimming pool. If you are interested in astronomy, the lodge is a great place for taking photos of the night sky. Inform the staff to turn off the perimeter lights by dinner so that it can help you with taking the perfect shot of the night sky. I highly...
Read moreJust got back from Uganda and Kigarama Wilderness Lodge was an absolute gem! It is scenically located on top of a hill overlooking so much of the area. It was a very quick drive to get to Lake Mburo National Park, so we were able to spend a lot of time in the park watching the animals. The grounds were beautiful, the pool was refreshing, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was wonderful, Adorn and Kathy took great care of us and chef Charles made some delicious food! I didn't want to leave; we could have spent so much more time at Kigarama and I recommend everyone who gets the chance to go to do so, it was one of my favorite places I have...
