ELSIE HOTEL — Hotel in Masaka City

Sincerely the hotel looks good but i and my family were disappointed at the hotel over the weekend while on transit from Nairobi. The hotel never had hot water, the kids showered cold water and later they brought hot water in a 5-litre jerican, it took 1hr to get the basin. it took more than 1hr to get food, ordered at 22:13hrs it came at 00:16hrs, the waiter had promised only 40min. We slept without taking the tea we had ordered because it took more than 1hr. the staff is everywhere, the receptionist is in charge of technical issues, room services etc. NO manager to consult. Please the management should train these guys. Literally there was no breakfast, only boiled bananas, hot water was served, most members were fighting for the food, they promised to bring bread, we waited for an hour and it came completely plain. the owner or manger when contacted was asleep in the morning 9:00hrs and could not offer any help. Remember the hotel has no WIFI, you have to go down to the restaurant and the network also is toooo low, The TV you watch what the receptionist wants even if it prays music not appropriate for the Kids.

For the owner of the Hotel, please let it be worthy of what we pay for, otherwise that is not an hotel, even one client left complaining that he worthy pay.

Anybody planning to spend a night there and he/she enjoys it please let me know so that i can stay there next time, otherwise you better sleep in your car...

We stayed in Elsie Hotel 2 years ago and had a nice experience. Everything was working well, we had a very nice breakfast in their restaurant in the morning. After reading all the positive reviews we returned in December 2024. WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!! They had to bring a plumber to make handwash and toilet flush work after we moved in the room... there are no lamps at the bed, only 2 very bright ones at the ceiling. Hot shower NEVER worked! Manager Vimto promised always during our stay that hot water is working now... never it worked! Cold showers during 2 days! Breakfast has to be ordered in the evening and they ignore that order but give an omelette with potatoes inside! Bed linen torn... Only dirty wet towels available... The hotel and it's surroundings are dirty. I checked the positive reviews again and saw that they are made by people who have never done any reviews before. Obviously fake! We will never return to this place again but will watch which development will take place in the future... Double...

Good hotel with private parking space. The rooms are big. The rates are good and include breakfast. There is hot water. You however have to request for the standard bottle of water given in hotel rooms. There is a mosquito net provided. Make sure you use it. There was no WiFi connection despite insistence by the receptionist that there was WiFi. This was a big disappointment. The TV did not have free to air channels.
