The hotel rooms are without doubt the best aspect of this hotel. they are modern, large and have big screen smart TV's. The beds, are comfortable and the bathrooms are nicely done with readily available hot water. The hotel is situated in a large industrial area so if you are a tourist this is not for you. I guess it's aimed only at business people. There is a wall around the building and gates providing some security (and feels much like a prison I'd say). There are no facilities such as gym or swimming pool. The restaurant is dreadful in every way possible. The food is to a very poor standard in my view although it may be acceptable to locals. Service here is non existent. The restaurant staff seem to have had no training whatsoever in customer service and treat guests almost with contempt. I accept there may be language difficulties but the unhelpful and almost hostile nature of the staff cannot simply be put down to that factor. They make no effort to welcome you, no "service with a smile" and when inevitably you send something back you are met with a stare of incomprehension at the idea that you are prepared to complain. They give zero effort to make you feel like a customer. They have no clue how to manage complaints or deal with issues. They never come to ask whether you are enjoying the meal or need another drink. It's probably the worst place I've ever been in terms of lack of training or care. I think the same lack of training applies to the housekeeping staff as on the first day I had no toilet tissue. On the 3rd day the floor mat for the shower disappeared and never returned. Only two coffee sachets were provided inn the room and were not replaced after I used them. I stayed here to keep costs down for my customer but if I go to visit them again I'd rather pay my own money to stay somewhere with better standards than this hotel can offer. I did make my views known to staff every day I was there which was for a whole week but management either were not told or didn't think it worthwhile coming to talk to me. When I left I again stated my issues to the hotel manager and did receive an apology and assurance that my concerns would be addressed. I treat this with scepticism based on the fact that I also stayed here for 2 weeks a year ago and raised all the same issues then but nothing at all has changed...

The people in the hotel were very kind and friendly. Despite the fact that the hotel is not as fancy as the other one in the neighborhood, the room was bigger than average, two chairs were really practical as this is not the case in most of the other hotels. The room is equipped with freestanding wardrobe with practical top shelf and doors on which a coat rack can be hung and still could be closed. Working vault is a plus as in some other hotels is present but not working. With the warm water you needs to be patient. Air-conditioning with remote control is also better than the wall mounted. They even offer laundry service as it was common in the hotel in past. And yes, it is maybe not the first choice for tourist that would visit Kampala for shopping or safari. But for a business trip when you would easy access the industrial zone without to spend hours in traffic is the right choice. The neighborhood was also very quiet. I stayed in this hotel for about 50 days and the hotel has a very nice restaurant. The food you want in the restaurant is not arranged the way you want it. If you say life security, there is none. There is a camera at the door at the front, and if you say security, there is none. My money was stolen and nothing was done based on it. The police came and took our statement. Hotel security is zero. There is no security of life. For your information, those who love their souls will not stay...
