After a bad stay at another place in Pacwach we were taken here. We were told that it was only opened for a short while. We got a basic room with a double bed(very comfortable) with basic amenities. Bathroom with toilet and hot water for a shower. A great mosquito net and 2 chairs along with clean towels. It also had a fan that kept you a little cooler than without. Room was clean. bathroom had sliding glass doors (full length). Door had great locks. This room was on the bottom floor opposite side of the highway.||The staff, cant remember the ladies name , were very helpful and brought us cold water when asked (you pay for it), food takes time but it was very tasty.||This could be a very good hotel in this area that is much needed. If they would add air conditioning, get the tv to work, have screens on the balcony doors and upgrade the eating area so staff do not have to walk so far for drinks etc. they could charge more than double the going rate. The cost was $20 a night. This is the best bargain that we have come across after 5 African countries. CAN BE A...
Read moreA friend who had stayed at the Leosim hotel recommended it to us for the night (en-route to DRC). The hotel is situated along the Pakwach Nebbi Highway, opposite the Rock Global Oils Petrol station. At our time of stay, the hotel's entrance was not very obvious, neither attractive, but we were pleasantly surprised by the room quality. The hotel has single rooms, mostly found downstairs, that are fairly small, furnished with a reading table, mosquito net, sink, shower, and 'squat over' flash toilets, medium sized rooms, slightly bigger than the single rooms, with similar furnishing, but with a sit on flash toilet, executive rooms, slightly larger than the previous two, but with fairly the same furnishing. I was mostly pleased by the clean room, hot shower, dust free mosquito net and delicious grilled fish and chips ('Fis and Sips'). Traditional dishes are available on request.||||Room prices ranged from 45,000 to 65 UGX (approximately USD 20 - 30) per room with breakfast.||The breakfast is basic, but okay; will sustain you up to...
Read moreOne of the best in Nebbi, but leaves a lot to be expected. The rooms are failry sized, but the design of the hotel is poor and prevent proper air flow. Rooms can be very hot and being in Nebbi makes it worse. Beddings are over used, old and threadbare. Meals are rudimentary-nothing special and then again the chef isn't that good. You can get rooms from UGX 21,000 in the old wing, single not self contained, UGX 50,000 to 55,000 for single self contained and then UGX 65,000 for a self contained double. In other hotels you would get better rooms for less. Don't hold your breath. But if it comes to choice in this town, I'd come back. It's more secure than most, the staff are polite and there seems to always be accommodation-go figure. Edit: I might not come back. The nets over the beds are more suited to catching aquatic cuisine than prevenitng malaria. I was molested by mosquitoes all night. I had to employ the overhead fan in order to get a little rest. The breakfast wasn't any added...
