Great place directly at the Nile! You will see the fishermen doing their work all day on the Nile. Hippos are coming at night sometimes close to visit. You can have really nice bonfire dinner at Nile shore. Bonny, the manager, connected us with a great ranger to do the safari tour. We saw basically every thing and it was great fun. The rooms are also really nice and modern with big windows and lots of plants around it. You hear the waves like at the sea. The food was really great! Breakfast served to the balcony and the fish chef special is the best fish dish I ate ever I think. In the morning you have the sunrise over the Nile and the Murchison National Park. Really a great place to stay and only 10minutes to the park entry. Will go there again!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Murchison Falls National Park or the town of Pakwach. I found the property both charming and intriguing, with beautiful interior and exterior design. Its riverside location adds a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, especially in the mornings. The room was very clean, particularly the bathroom, and well-equipped with amenities like Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, and multiple charging points. I also really enjoyed the food and the overall aesthetics of the place. Highly recommended for a comfortable and scenic stay in the area.

Great locatiion. This place literally sits on the River Nile(pakwach). Take the front row rooms if you may so that you can observe the sun setting over the river, ducks swimming, birds and fishermen on their local boats fishing. If you love fishing, you have the chance to fish with a fishing rod offered by the hotel. Rooms are clean, staffs are friendly and food is fair rate. This place is a literal hideaway gem.

The room was very clean and bed was comfortable, however HUGE number of mosquitos.

Of the 4 nights i stayed here, experienced power cuts on 3 nights with extremely slow power restoration. There was also nothing extra done to accommodate the guests or nothing offered as an apology.

The restaurant was good, lots of options and everything was tasty. Service is extremely slow. Also surprisingly for such a hot and humid place, there are no pedestal fans in the restaurant. The first day the staff provided one and the next day they said that all fans have gone to the rooms (my room did not have a fan). My colleague was so irritated because we were literally SWEATING there, so we got the fan from her room. The restaurant also does not have any kind of netting or equipment to keep away insects and at night, there are a HUGE amount of insects around all lights due to the proximity to the river. It's not something that the hotel can help but it's definitely something that can be managed.

The worst part was the payment. We had enquired during check in regarding the mode of payment and Christopher assured us that they accept card payments. Then when we had to pay, he said that their machine broke and the bank would take at least 3 days to replace it and asked us to withdraw from an ATM.

As you can imagine, this is a HUGE inconvenience for the guests. Besides, what sort of a hotel has only one card machine? Or why couldn't they use a replacement machine in the meantime? There were no apologies made, no acceptance that this is their fault, and i was incredibly furious at that the very callous attitude of the reception staff who simply told us that the ATM is nearby and we can withdraw cash. Sorry but this is no way to treat your guests. I asked him for the hotel's bank details to see if we could transfer the payment instead and he most unhelpfully said that the bank opens only the next day and he does not have the details. I can't help but think that they really just wanted cash and the whole story about the card machine not working was just made up.

So two women had to go at night alone to withdraw a huge amount of cash at the local ATM and after all this, there was still no apology or any attempt to make any...

Location good Rooms good Restaurant pathetic: yesterday we ordered food for 3 people (1 pizza, 1 fish to be shared by two) at 17:30, for 18:45, to eat before the lakeflies come and as long as we still see what we eat. The fourth person came at 18:30h and wanted pizza, there was no more pizza as there was no more cheese. The fourth order, fried chicken and fries, came first, the pizza second, around 19:15h and the fish at 19:30h, 45 minutes late (having ordered two hours prior). Turned out parts of the pizza was BLACK on the bottom, like charcoal. When the waitress was asked what she would do about it, she just looked like a deer in high beams. I asked her to take the charcoal to the kitchen, nothing ever came back. When I asked her today, she told me ‚it was a mistake‘. Pathetic. Both the waitress and the chef who react like that should be fired on the spot. For breakfast, one of the dishes were poached eggs. They were hard boiled. We were just told there is still no pizza, because they failed to buy cheese, at 17:30 pm....
