Read moreCannot understand the great ratings. Everything was mediogre. The rooms are decent but nothing more than a hut with a chair and a table. The water is dripping out of the shower with no possibility to have decently warm water. Its either burning hot or cold. The wifi was basically nonexistent. The service was okay, but definetly also missing some proper management. The food was at most mediogre as well. The food was for the most time a decently prepared piece of meat plus rice and ciapatti. Add a ready made soup out of the convenience kitchen and you have the meals. The vegetarian alternative was often worse. The negative highlight was a huge slump of matoke with groundnut sauce for Lunch. Thats okay for a low priced Lodge or Hotel, but difficult to fathom for the pricing point of this Lodge. We ate and slept better at basically every other Lodge...
Read moreWe stayed two nights at the Engiri Game Lodge. The accommodations were great for us. A nice private hut, clean, spacious, with a high thatched roof, and porch. The common lodge had plenty of comfortable seating in the lobby, and a nice dining area on the second level. Walking between room and lodge 6:30 pm to 6:30 am required a lodge escort due to the potential of startling an animal. Great location within Queen Elizabeth National Park boundaries. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay at Engiri Game...
