Irungu Forest Safari Lodge — Hotel in Rubirizi

This hotel is a good location to access the park and lake. Food was good with big portion sizes. Staff were attentive and helpful. Making sure we were safe moving to and from our room. However the room wasn’t fantastic. There was mouse poo, dead flies and bird poo in the hotel room not very clean and rubbish under the bungalow. No door to the bathroom so everyone in the room can see you showering. The bungalow we had was right next to a bonfire which was burning all day and night so our room was always smokey even when we were trying to sleep. Holes in mosquito net window so bugs can get in and out. No one explain about washing so I placed my clothes in a basket on the shelf (which doesn’t look like a washing basket) my clothes were taken and washed and I was charger $10. Expensive drinks compared to some places we stayed in Uganda and were also charger for tea and coffee, which we weren’t done anywhere...

Alot can be talked here on this lodge , we have been using Irungu forest safari lodge for long time all our clients sleep when we are in Queen Elizabeth national Park, Mugenyi Eco Tours staff loves this lodge , because the staff are so attentive to our clients talk about , Cliton ,100%Nazifah,100% Francis,100% Able and Gideon (100%) the senior chefs in Queen Elizabeth national Park,and many more staff at the lodge, my clients have never complained about this lodge when we sleep here, the director Mr Ronald is a good guy ,, his communication is absolutely amazing, food served at the lodge is the best ,when ever we are at Irungu forest safari lodge we fill 100% at home , please while in Queen Elizabeth national Park dont hesitate to come...

We stayed at Irungu for two nights whilst exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park and had a great experience. The rooms was overlooking a beautiful field and we woke up to a stunning sunset and birdsong every morning. The room had modern amenities, beautiful comfortable beds and had everything we needed.
