Large rooms, many with two bedrooms joined to one living room. Quiet and in good repair. No AC or fan in rooms, so no white noise source at night. Informal lounge area for meetings on each floor. No elevator. Be prepared to walk up four flights of stairs. Only desk agent speaks English. Waitresses in breakfast bar, maids, are 100% English free. No irons in room, must use shared laundry facilities. Two blocks from Minska metro station. Security bouncer was on duty every night in lobby, but didn't seem needed. Wireless signal did not reach 4th floor, but ok lower. Only two English channels on cable tv...
Read moreThe last day in Kiev I had to change hotels. This one is further from the city, but located just 200 meters from the underground station Minska.||The rooms were huge and clean. If you ask, they will heat up your plate (OK, it's true - everything is served cold).||||But this is not a pretentious hotel! It's good, I felt safe, the rooms ARE big; and it's right near the subway (but not too close!) and close to a shopping mall.||||Best thing! I could walk to the Dnipro RIver and go for a morning swim! Get there by 7:00 am and you an join the logal group of people who do yoga every day! They were so nice and invited me to join, which I did for 3 days while there and...
