On my way to the hotel I decided not to order this hotel again, it was to far to walk from the railway - specially in the morning without real coffee. But! Then I came in through the frontdoor, get coffee, breakfast, enjoyed the internal environment, get a shower and the opportunity to relax on the veranda I changed my mind 100% - this will be; I'll be back"! This "minihotel" provide exactly what I demand, relaxed atmosphere, internal environment in my style, the rooftop window, staff as I can communicate with and know about service, and the silent surroundings So it didn't took long time for me to change in mind about the geographical position as is a little bit of city. Another detail is that they use LED lamps, watersaving system in the toilet and have solarpanels on the roof - this things are something as like, this shows improvement and a ecological thinking in their strategy for future generation. And for a dedicated jogger as me 1.5 km to city center is not far, to all main attractions of Lviv. Then I leaved a took a walk to the restaurant, had dinner at Diner and then the trolley to the Avtobus Vokzal for continue my alternative experiment to travel from Odessa to Gothenburg without using aircrafts. The WiFi had some malfunctions, but I wasn't there to surf Internet, but the website of the hotel could definitely being better, then I pressed for English I get Russian language, actually not so much English at all - but I mailed the hotel about this. But this hotel is definitely coming back, now then I get better known with Lviv...
Read moreSo glad I booked this quaint little boutique hotel (only 7 rooms) in Lviv. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mary and Anastasia. They were always eager to make my stay pleasant. You really were made to feel special as a guest here, from the delicious cooked to order breakfast (inclusive), the rapid check-in, gratis tea/coffee, to making a warming fire in the dining room's fireplace. The decor was reminiscent of an Austrian chalet and there were numerous works of original art distributed amongst the 3 floors. The breakfast dining room ceiling was coffered with wooden beams and ornately painted. The staff can even pour you a drink at the small bar in the dining room. Also, there is a small library room to sit, read, or play a game of chess. The bed/bedding were very comfortable and my room was clean. Although there is no elevator, the climbing of the stairs was not bad. The location was a tad distant from the Old Town and on a hill which made walking a bit laborious, but luckily Lviv has some of the lowest priced taxis in Europe, so no big deal. Highly...
Read moreThe location is a little bit far from the city center. The interior and the building is quiet nice. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The overall feeling of the hotel and the staff felt somewhat unwelcoming and unhospitable. Also when we were checking out, the front desk staff charged some money for 4 cookies that I took from the hall going up the rooms. Since they didn't mark any price, it looked as complimentary. The ammount wasn't significant but still it was unpleasant. Also when we asked for a taxi to the airport the taxi they arranged was triple the price we took there from the airport. When we questioned this absurdity the manager told us that was because the driver spoke English but he didn't speak one word neighter English or any other language on our trip to the airport. Since we didn't had a choise early in the morning, we had to accept their price. It put us in a very difficult position because we had limited local currency on our last day at Ukraine.||||It is not a bad hotel but not a good one either. I wouldn't stay here again if I...
