When I initially checked in to the hotel I was warmly greeted by the staff members and was assigned a room. I am a foreigner(who served in the Ukrainian Army in 2022 and here to serve again) from Las Vegas and have been working in hotels for 13 years as a customer service/security/ambassador employee in 4 and 5 star hotels. A few days later, I was told by the front desk agent(s) that my room that I had been staying in for over a week was booked for just Saturday. I gave them a friendly response and stated I had no problem moving to another room in which we all came to an agreement. Then when Saturday came, I was unnecessarily reminded as I passed by the front desk regarding the room change at approximately 10:30 a.m. Checkout is at 12 p.m., so the room is still mine and my privacy is still mine until 12 p.m at the Hotel Globus! I don’t need to tell anyone my plan(s) as to what or where I will be staying until 12 p.m checkout. Unfortunately, I was told by the front desk agent that I could stay in that room, but the price would be increased even though I’ve been there over a week(paying by cash every day promptly) and been polite, quiet in my room and overall a very respectful guest. So at 10:30 a.m, the agent kept wanting to know my future plans which is my right not to discuss unless I were to refuse to leave after checkout. So, I told her I’m going to find another hotel in the area with the same rate I was used to paying. She looked at me as if I couldn’t do what I had just expressed. When I returned at approximately 11:20 a.m., I walked past the front desk and once again was approached by the same agent, who still had no right to stop me because it was not check out time. At that point it started to become harassment; even though she said I could stay in the room at the same rate I was paying. I refused her offer, explained how customer service should be handled, how the agents should’ve advised me about the higher rate and how it’s wise to advise a guest right away about raising a room rate when they wanted me to relocate rooms because that leads to guests getting potentially irate and confrontational! I have dealt with countless situations myself in the hotel industry, so I know what I am talking about. Lastly, can the Hotel Globus start making sure the staff stays off their cell phones and properly greet its valued guests. It has become an epidemic throughout the customer service industry and it’s becoming the demise which is why humans are becoming replaced by machines and artificial...
Read moreI think this hotel is not for foreign tourists. There is just one person (a young man) who can speak English fluently. The waiter (the man) in the restaurant is not friendly, he puts the plates on our table and we serves ourselves. The restaurant is also more expensive compared to the city centre restaurants. Wifi is terrible. Sometimes it shows 25mbps sometimes it disconnects for hours. We are in 2021 please fix it. There is no electricity generator in the hotel so if the city decides to cut the electricity you have no water and no electricity. Our room is clean but remember that there is no minibar. Rooms are old you can easily see that. Especially the bathroom need renovation. When we arrived to the hotel, our sink was blocked, they sent someone but he did not solve the problem. We had to live with blocked sink. Also the tap and shower head was problematic. Hotel is located in an industrial area. We did not use spa or pool so I can not...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel in September 2023 and in January 2025. Both times, I had a good experience. The hotel staff speaks English well enough to communicate with foreigners like me. The hotel itself feels very comfortable, cozy and home because of its noble beauty, like the choice of wood type, the furniture, the paintings, the decoration. There is a good restaurant inside with a wide variety of food and drinks from Ukraine and other countries. There is a big and a small sauna with swimming pools and water massages included. In short: I really had the time to relax, to rest and to enjoy the beauties of Ternopil, an old and historical city of Ukraine with a beautiful lake and park in the center. I highly...
