I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction by the hotel service that I have received here. Particularly, Indian worker in the reception who lacked any basic humanism and understanding which is a MUST especially in hospitality industry. I did not want to write a negative review especially when I stayed here previously and the stuff were very nice, but his rudeness and sarcasm did not leave me with another choice. There were no electricity in my place and I remained without AC all night long till 10 AM morning when they finally had to come to recover... with a heat stroke I came to the hotel at least to sleep for several hours and leave. Initially, he knew about it. The room on booking was cheaper, but I was so tired that didnt have energy to do it there, simply preferred to ask the stuff. To my extreme surprise lol ... he asked me to pay more than the sum of their actual hotel. like 40 % more than on booking basic price (not for members only price). I asked him to understand that I need the room only for 3,4 hours, and not for any bad reasons, it was a force majeure situation actually. Anyway, he was ignorantly looking at my eyes and saying that's all what he can do for me, the check out is at 2 PM tomorrow so he doesn't care whether I check out after 3 hours or tomorrow, which means they would "sell" the same room twice per night. I was too tired to leave to another place, and he understood it of course. leaving me no choice I paid it which was a RIPPING OFF a person without any human understanding.OK, that's ok. At least, I asked him to give me a room without noise, as I feel bad and need to sleep. The room which was given was so out dated that AC was making horrible noise, it wouldn't be even possible to rest there. So he " did an upgrade: xD thats how he would call, right ? he even told me to pay him more as the rooms without noise cost more, surprisingly for another times it never costed me more and I didn't even HAVE TO ask the stuff to change my room, as they were compassionate enough to provide with basic amenities. to keep it shortly, please find in the photo what did the " young man " give me as a "non noisy" room. I am not sure whether their management will read this review, but PLEASE check your stuff humanity and insecurities before taking them to work, because your guests does not deserve for somebody's trying to revenge the world and being insecure affect it on your guests. It was horrible and i didn't rest a minute even, around 6 PM I went down, and thanks to Mr Sultan he replaced my room and gave me an amazing one, where at least I slept for an hour before leaving. I wish I came a bit later and didn't face with that Indian personal in the morning. It's not difficult to have some empathy and compassion, just for your several AED of percentage treating people like that ? I had high fever after for 2 days. Unfortunately, I could not remember the personal name, it had S inside xD, cashier name on invoice is written NAvin, but its...

The light in the bathroom was flickering when we looked in it this is what we saw (see 1st photo ) there were two lights one either side of the sink both full.of dead flies they fixed the flickering light but the the other light though working was still full of dead flies ???????? ||||Long story short they never fixed the shower we gave up asking for it to be fixed and used the small head on the shower. Shout out for Peter and the Pizza chef in the Italian we enjoyed your singing and they are fabulous people . Also shout out for Nushta in the lobby bar but there were too any lovely staff to.mention by name the staff are certainly a great asset to the hotel.||We really used only the a la carte restaurants in the evening for dinner and they r amazing always managed to book.a table and we loved the Italian at lunchtime too. I dont do brekkie but hubby and our friends did .||The main areas of the hotel are lovely and reasonably kept seats are stained quite badly in some places and do need upgrading .||The weather was fab food was good staff amazing but the photos of our room speak for themselves.||I should gave made a stand at the start of the holiday regarding the room but then again no 5 star hotel should have a room in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe regularly visit Ras Al Khaimah to get away from the city, relax, and unwind. This time, we chose RAK Hotel because itās a 4-star property with reasonable rates.
Check-in went smoothly, and I asked if there was a smart TV in the room since my child likes to watch cartoons while waiting for the heat and humidity to ease before swimming. Room service mentioned that some rooms have smart TVs and suggested I check with reception, as the hotel was not fully booked. Within 5 minutes of arriving in our room, I went to reception and inquired again. The lady at the reception Thanchen said they donāt have smart tv. When I said your staff confirmed with me you have rooms with smart tv, then her colleague (man) assist us and moved us to a room with smart tv.
The next day, I asked the gentleman in the reception if we could have a late check-out since my daughter was enjoying the facilities. I did not request a specific time, as I know the standard check-out is at 12 noon. He kindly extended it to 2 PM, which I appreciated.
However, at 1:42 PM, I received a call from the reception itās Thanchen again, who spoke to me in a very rude tone, saying it was 2 PM and that we would be charged if we didnāt leave immediately. I explained her in low tone voice that it was only 1:42 and that we were in the process of packing. Despite this, her tone lacked courtesy and professionalism. At 1:59 PM, we were at the reception to check out. Instead of a polite greeting, she simply gestured and said ācome,ā which is disrespectful. I am very disappointed, especially as I was with my young child.
Front desk staff are the face of the hotel. They should always be approachable, respectful, and compassionate, particularly when dealing with families. I sincerely hope RAK Hotel management provides proper training to their staff, especially at the front desk, to ensure all guests feel valued and respected...
