Here is an Honest review of my experience staying in Holiday Inn, Now I don't want to call any names they all had their own services to do and are collectively responsible for managing the things.
We booked the rooms after the Eid and expected a load of people waiting to be checked in as it was still a holiday, we waited there for atleast 2 and half hours waiting for our room to be cleaned and people were yet to be checked out. The management were also having a hard time facilitating the rooms and giving them to the customers, quarrel was everywhere with families with their babies waiting for their room. Many people also had their own specifications and wanted specific rooms. Overall the check in time was horrible and I don't blame the management much as they possibly cannot control such a crowd. And they extended our check out time to 2 o clock instead of the usual 12 pm.
After we checked in the rooms were clean and had some preferences to choosing from coffee to tea, different pillows and some TV channels. One thing it had was the heirachy system the people who booked for one night were given fewer advantages over the people who booked for more than one night, the pools were filled with people and didnt have much space to swim and relax in the pool, the pool in itself was quite small compared to other pools I visited in. When we looked outside the window either you see the rest of the building of beautiful lights and you can wonder about or a complete desert and a barren of Al Maktoum Airport. Which is why I gave the location a 2 star.
It had many other facilities like Gym and indoor sports like Football Table and Table Tennis but it lacked Billiards, they also had spa, steam room and sauna and no people used it so it was for ourselves.
The thing they had to improve is probably on dinner/lunch I am not sure about the prices but the price they displaced in their advertisement probably tell their usual charge many people ordered food from other services which I don't think they mind much.
The only thing that kept alive the rating was the breakfast, nothing else could worth it much as the breakfast, they had a wide variety of choices from continental to few Indian food, if you are Asian or not from the west who likes to try continental food this is the best bet I could offer! They had many variety of meats, Chinese & Indian food, bakeries, desserts, juices that you can pick from, you could also customize with your own touch and make your imagination.
Overall if you are a tourist that come with your family and visit in working days it is well worth your money, I would recommend not to go there during public holidays. Thank You...
Read moreI regret to say that my recent stay at your property has been the most disappointing hospitality experience I have ever encountered.
From the outset, the level of service fell far below even the most basic expectations. Promises made by staff were consistently left unfulfilled, revealing a troubling lack of professionalism and reliability. The so-called concierge service was practically non-existent—there was no assistance with luggage during arrival or departure, which was both surprising and inconvenient.
The room itself was far from satisfactory. An unpleasant odor was present upon arrival, and despite being a standard amenity, there was no hair dryer available. To compound this, the room faced the pool, and the noise levels were utterly unacceptable, making rest during the day or evening impossible.
Breakfast service left much to be desired. I attempted to order a simple omelette on three separate mornings, and each time the order was either incorrect or forgotten. Such recurring issues with a basic meal reflect poor communication and training.
Check-out was another unfortunate experience, marked by an unreasonably long wait for the invoice due to a perpetual queue at the front desk. Repeated attempts to contact reception or the operator by phone over the course of an hour went entirely unanswered—an issue that speaks to either a severe staffing shortage or an alarming disregard for guest needs.
Overall, the lack of adequate staffing was evident throughout the property, contributing to the sense that guest comfort and satisfaction are not a priority.
It is sincerely disappointing that what was meant to be a restful stay turned into a series of avoidable frustrations. I hope this feedback serves as a catalyst for the much-needed improvements in service...
Read moreI spent four nights at the facility while traveling with my one-year-old baby. To ensure proper hygiene for my child, I brought along a bottle sterilizer. However, on the second day, while we were away, the hotel staff removed the sterilizer without our knowledge. We arrived back at our room late in the evening, approximately at 11:00 PM. The baby was crying for milk, prompting us to search for the sterilizer and bottle; however, we were unable to find them in the room. After an hour of searching, I went to the reception at midnight to file a complaint. At 12:30 AM, they confirmed that they had removed the sterilizer and found it in their storage. When I retrieved it, I noticed it was with dust, and the staff could not provide a satisfactory explanation for its removal without my consent. After considerable discussion, they agreed to clean and sterilize it. After all these process, they returned it to my room around 3:00 AM. In the meantime, my baby had gone to sleep without any food. Upon receiving the sterilizer, I discovered that the nipple of one of the bottles which already inside the sterilizer was missing. This experience was distressing for my family, leaving my wife and me feeling helpless as we struggled to feed our baby on time due to the staff's negligence. I was astonished that there was no established system in place a brand like "Holiday Inn" to remove the personal items especially something related to use for an emergency needs...
