The hotel have an attractive stunning view of Hafit mountain of Alain city, one of the beautiful tourist place in Alain city. Rooms were huge with comfy beds and included all needed facilities, such as tables and side chairs. Also, good toilets with all hygiene products included. Great value of money in respect to the location and facilities. Even the rooms have balcony to enjoy evening breeze and if anyone needs to smoke can stand outside the balcony and smoke without the need to interrupt others. Further, i recommend the hotel to do some renovations since the design seems a but old. It has also other services of pools (both adult and kid), restaurants, golf, gym and much more, which was very good and nice. Also big parking area, and good luggage service.
Their breakfast was bad since the food was not fresh at all, especially the bread and pancakes. The staff of the breakfast did not have manner nor attitude, they were rude which impacted on our stay negatively. We were seating eating their unpalatable breakfast and suddenly a staff approached to us and saying that one person is not included in the list and with all insolence he wanted to kick us out !!!!! Where is your attitude and respect!!!!! Who said that we will run away and not pay!!!! He could’ve said it politely before we enter or just before we leave, we wouldn’t be disappointed since its something in their terms and conditions, however their sharp impolite attitude was insane and totally unacceptable. We were literally eating and this inappropriate attitude occurred. Also, its not our problem if you could not read well nor see well, because before we enter we gave room numbers and why you said enter??!!!! First read well then come and hunt people on their breakfast. Like seriously it was bad. The staff should be trained well on how to treat guests during their stay. This did not only happen to us, but i also observed that they did it to another family. Like come on, you can politely say it before they enter or just before they leave, not during eating the food, because its really a shameless nonsense act.
The reception staff was cooperative and approachable, however they took too long to check us in. Additionally, when we request a certain service for the rooms, they were taking forever to fulfill our requests. Slow service to be honest.
Overall, the hotel was in great location with clean facilities and huge rooms with balconies of beautiful Jabal Hafit view but the rooms need some renovation. The staff need more training on how to treat well the guests and have some manners, since the people came to hotel for relaxation not to fight with you for your unpleasant attitude. The hotel has great value of money in respect to location, room and somehow facilities but...
Read moreLocation was great, and nice view. Hotel ambience is perfect for us. Breakfast options are also good. Employee from Housekeeping was very helpful. He is smiling and always willing to help. Room service was excellent. I would like to highlight the Burmese Lady, Miss Khine; as our waitress, she did a great job. Our food was served on time, drinks were also served without delayed. She has consistency of service levels at all time. Phine at the Spa was very kind, lovely and very helpful. With one exception (see below), the other receptionists are smile and lovely. At the spa, they have a lovely room that can be used for multiple purpose
🤷♀️Red Alert dealing with Maria. Sandrine & Ahmed from the restaurant. 😒
The receptionist named, Maria, had displayed poor level of service.
I requested to give an alternative for swimming pool as it is out of service. 5 days before the check-in date, I called to the hotel for a Yoga space. She said she will get back to me but never did. She advised us to cancel the booking since she could not able to provide any solution to our needs.
We are looking for indoor place for yoga practice due to the weather outside. She said there is a place next to the pool, that she can offered as a favor. I would say that is not even an option for the weather like that. She replied, we communicate with you the pool is close if you are not happy then you should have cancelled the booking. Our group all had booked for 5 rooms total on that day.
I found the beautiful squad room next to the spa that we can practice yoga. However, Miss. Maria seems does not know about her own work place that how she can use hotel facility efficiently.
The management seems to not care about the staffs' attitude.
The two staffs from the restaurant are undoubtedly at the wrong place. They do not know how to serve the guest. No greetings, No sorry, No menu knowledge. But they proudly do have skills... to argue with the guest with confidence and give a grumpy face while rolling eyes to each of us.
We had two tables at lunch time for us, we had ordered simple food but it was served after over an hour. The drinks was served after 20mins. The chicken 65 was cooked by expired coconut oil. we can all smell it. Chicken is like charcoal. Compared to the dinner service, lunch and breakfast was very poor. Miss. Khine was alone at the dinner service with so many guests around. Nothing was delayed. We all are happy.
I feel frustrated and stressed by all the things that happened to us. There are so many great experiences at this hotel but people cannot just deliver these to the...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Oryx Grand Jebel Hafeet Al Ain Resort and wanted to share my honest experience. While the resort boasts stunning views and a beautiful pool area, overall it falls short of expectations, especially for a 4-star resort in the UAE.
Arrival Experience: The first impression was disappointing. There was no valet parking, and no staff available to assist with our luggage upon arrival. We had to walk inside and request help ourselves, which was unexpected at a resort of this level.
Reception Service: The front desk staff seemed disinterested. Rather than helping us choose a room that best suited our needs, they were more focused on handing over the keys and sending us off. Not the kind of hospitality one hopes for.
Room: We booked the Superior Twin Deluxe Room. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the basic amenities. The highlight was definitely the balcony view—absolutely beautiful and calming.
Pool Area: There are a few pools, including a toddler pool, teens pool, deep pool, and a Jacuzzi—all located together. However, the toddler pool was not climate-controlled and the water was extremely cold, making it unsuitable for young children. The main pool is climate-controlled, but only when requested via security—again, something that should be automatic in a resort setting.
Facilities & Entertainment: Most of the entertainment activities—PS4, table tennis, cycling, trampoline, carts, and even toddler rides—are all chargeable. This was surprising and a letdown, as most resorts offer these facilities complimentary or with minimal charges. Only the water pool and mini golf were free.
Breakfast: The breakfast was okay but quite limited. Don’t expect a wide buffet with 30-40 items. The food was decent, but variety was lacking.
Service: Whenever we requested anything, the response was usually that there was a staff shortage and we needed to wait. This excuse became quite common during our stay and reflects poor management.
Overall Verdict: This resort has the potential to be a great staycation spot due to its location and scenic views. However, the lack of professional service, limited free amenities, and overall poor guest experience make it an average resort at best. I sincerely hope the management works on improving the service and hospitality standards. If they do, this could truly become a top...
