Heritage room the heating didn't work, tea only no milk and 2 paper cups. Heritage 1 the banisters are loose when you grab it it falls sideways I nearly fell over. Room had no information in, we were told quad/buggy bikes included and sandboarding was but never got asked or shown. We had buggy to and from room when arrived after that non for a disabled person not good. Didn't enjoy the people trying to sell us stuff at EXORBITANT prices, when you arrive they wrap the headdress on seeing others thought included in the £500 overnight cost. They say come we finish it off so went over and already had white robe out to put on hubby asked me what colour for me they said black with gold. We thought then for photographs but saw card machine hovering they said £200, my husband said no the reply you make me sad, you should buy as wife beautiful (64 and wrinkly so NOT) Hubby ended up saying yes to mine. I have food allergies was told would have food for me to eat I had around 10 chips that was it so was looking forward to breakfast. Hubby said what he ate was ok except for the gristle in meat. The twirling dance amazing how fire show also but belly dancing not good especially as she had kids up on stage with her running around so dancing marred. DJ then continues with loud banging music but only until 11pm thankfully. We left about 9pm not a buggy in sight hubby went to reception and closed so slowly walked back which was painful to a very cold room. Aircon had cold and hot settings as desert gets cold and damp but didn't work so slept in our clothes. Got up raining so as no phones in room hoped for a buggy to breakfast but no one around got to where we were previous night nobody around tables etc. all covered where was breakfast as available until 9am? Went to reception closed, we decided to leave this was 9.05am reception still closed. A blonde staff member was very helpful but couldn't find her leaving the night before the 2 guys entertainment was brilliant they both get 5, drinks poor cheap varieties. Go for the late afternoon and evening show DON'T STAY as not worth the money, this was the experience we look forward to mostly very disappointed Our driver took us around but seems the dune bashing was done in convoy which we didn't realise quite surprised at the rubbish left behind bottles plastic trah. This is because the locals go there and stay we heard cars until around midnight but this is no fault to the camp. I wish I could give 5 overall...
Read moreWe were looking for the stay which is out of busy life and should be have full enjoyment for all age groups. We found this place online and booked the tree house. From reaching to the place to check out everything was super super amazing. I have checked many camps or tents but really this is completely different experience where you have multiple options to stay in one place with so many entertainment recourses.
Google map will take you right on the place, small part of road is little humpy or you will feel driving little off road however its completely fine you can even reach there with small cars also.
They have Igloo tents , tree house , dome & heritage huts which have all different facilities according to the option we choose.
We were skeptical about food as we were in desert safari couple of times and we had very horrible experience about food but here food have limited options but really full of taste. As we have vegetarian people also so they have really very good veg options also.
They have small kids play area, my kido was really very happy been there. then we went to camel ride and use Quad bike also. Then we were back in the camp and table is reserved under my name. then they started the Tanura show with some light snacks followed by fire show and then dinner. both the shows were supper supper amazing they simply nailed it. Then after dinner they had belly dancing however personally we didn't like because firth thing it was only for 5 mins and dance was also very very normal. So that was the only part we felt little disappointed rest everything was super amazing and worth it.
If i will conclude my visit it was full of adventure, relaxing and full of memorable. Special thanks to Femine & Sanjay who were taking care on each and every point and asking about the experience or if any issues we have. In early morning really enjoyed the birds chirping sound no traffic no other sound. I think i can write more on my visit.
Highly recommend this place and trust me you will...
Read moreWe had a great experience at Dunes camping and safari resort. To start with coming from Dubai on 611 and following google map, don’t take the last right turn when resort is 10 mins away- unless you are prepared to drive in all sand. Go further to RAK exit, the distance is slight more but the road is descent. There will be still some sand parts on the road but most cars can cross that - still preferable to drive all wheel drive. Better reach resort around 3:30pm, you will get your rooms. We took deluxe room and tree house. Both rooms are beautifully done and for 2 person each; you may request and they will provide additional mattress in room but then the room will be very tight. For deluxe room the toilet and washroom is outside the room. For tree house, toilet is just outside but they don’t have shower. There are additional rooms like hut and superior rooms which have toilets and washroom inside. On arrival and settling down, you can use the facilities like sand boarding, henna and camel ride which are free. Other attractions are chargeable - pony ride, henna full hand, quad bike etc. 6pm the shows starts and there are 3 shows like Tamura dance, fire show and Bally dance. During the show snacks and dinner is served as buffet. Cold drinks are part of package while hard drinks are paid. Additional items which are paid include ice creams, popcorn, local dresses. Show finish 9pm after which you have time in hand to gossip and catch up with fiends. There are many locations designated to sit and talk. Sheesha is also available. Night time there was some sound because of sand dining by cars with high noise. Morning breakfast starts at 730am and is quite good. Check out time is 10am, which is reasonably ok so by 1130 you can reach your Dubai location. All in all a fantastic experience. We had similar experience as part of desert safari but living under the starts and in such quite place was awesome. We went in end December so it was better to take jackets as it turns to be...
