Awful experience after the initial sales person. Well where do I start! Purchased a Table and 6 chairs from the Bridge of Don store in Dec 2021. We agreed a price but then sales rep had to speak to her manager. Can’t be sure but I think initially we were quoted with free delivery. After conversation with manager price went up slightly and there was £60 delivery charge. Decided to go with it as we liked the furniture. We walked over with the sales rep to to pay at the till, and a person appeared (who we can only assume was the manager) and watched us pay. Did not introduce himself. Just stared as we paid. Disgraceful way to behave and absolutely no manners. Then our furniture was delivered 3 weeks later. To our new home. Delivery chaps non communicative too and just put furniture together and left. It was after they had gone that we checked the furniture over and noticed one of the chairs was damaged. Herein it goes even more downhill. Husband contacted customer services and sent pictures. Initial response was we have to go back to the manufactures to discuss. Not happy, husband said no quality control is your issue not ours. They agreed to send a replacement but then said they were out of stock. We would have to wait a few weeks but they would keep in touch. We heard nothing for 6 weeks. Husband phoned back to be told yes chair was in stock but they were just passing it through quality control. We would have it next week. 2 weeks later we had heard nothing. Phoned back to be told by customer services they would have to check and call us back. Called back to say we could pick up our chair tomorrow. We said well considering we have paid £60 for delivery we would expect you to deliver. Oh yea well ok but we can’t deliver until next week!! We have bought large quality furniture items on line that have been delivered from the South of England to the North of Scotland for £35, and delivered undamaged and promptly. Read moreI bought several pieces of furniture from sterling to a considerable cost. On arrival 1 of the pieces had damage. I contacted the customer services team, sent through photos. When they contacted me back we agreed a refund. They said paperwork would be processed for the refund. I waited several months no refund appeared, they had closed for refurbishment. I contacted them again, to which I was informed that the paperwork hadn't been done and they couldn't give the refund on a Sunday. I asked for a manager to call me back. I need up phoning again the next day. Then it was explained to me that the refund was to be processed but couldn't go to my card, this had never been explained before. No apologies for the delay.
