We stayed at the Ipswich South Premier Inn for one night, and unfortunately, this has been the worst experience we’ve had with Premier Inn – and we stay in them regularly all over the country.||The hotel itself feels very outdated, as do the rooms. While the staff in the hotel were friendly and polite, the experience fell apart when it came to breakfast at the Beefeater next door. We always use the adjoining restaurants for breakfast, as it’s advertised in the rooms, but this time we were told they couldn’t seat us.||This was at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, and there were plenty of empty tables around – only one was occupied. Friendly hotel staff aside, the poor service at the Beefeater and the outdated hotel make it hard to recommend this location. There are definitely better Premier Inns and...
Read moreGreat night stay, I asked the man on reception on arrival if I was in a downstairs room and he said yes, I asked if it was possible to be moved to an upstairs room as I didn't want to be on the carpark nor to close to reception, few clicks on the computer and sorted, room upstairs with a brilliant view of the opposite boat marina! (Room 23) Unfortunately the radiator in the room wasn't working and the room was extremely cold, so went back to man at reception and mentioned it and again he offered to change our room or supply us with a radiator to warm up (was a very cold day/night mind you) but due to the view we had we agreed to take a radiator and use that, few minutes went by, portable radiator dropped off, checked the radiator in the room to confirm its knackered, again asked if we'd like to move room which we declined as we loved the view we had and he'd supplied us a radiator anyway. Dinner in the restaurant next door was great, drinks where surprisingly cheap aswell , overall we had a great stay. Attached picture dosent do it much but it was a...
Read moreBasic accommodation here. Temperature guage stuck on high do hot night with only an oscillation fan and tiny gap in window for fresh air. Night attendant didn't seem like he liked his job and tried to argue that the remote I wanted changed because it didn't operate the TV being a Phillips when the TV in our room was a Samsung saying it worked for the last occupants?? He did change it for the correct remote be hesitantly. The extractor fan in bathroom didn't work so it got really hot and misty after a shower but oh my god what a beautiful shower it was! No phone in room no paper to write on just a bed which was very comfy and a TV really but now I know what to expect from a premier Inn hotel. Basic is...
