We had the unfortunate experience of staying here for two nights. It was like an episode of Fawlty Towers from the non existent staff at reception meaning we had to roam the hotel to find someone, the rude waitress who refused one of my kids the “free breakfast” unless I paid extra, then complained about us in the restaurant to her manager when I said ok I will. The food left out for the continental breakfast is stale and had flies land on it. My key card didn’t work on first use which I was told was my fault as I’d put it too close to the door. The old shabby rooms, with spiders, mouldy bathroom, no housekeeping, not even a phone in the room to allow you to contact staff. We weren’t allowed extra pillows. We had 4 beds and they took two pillows from two beds so we were only allowed one pillow each. It was horribly hot yet we weren’t allowed an extra fan as they only had 100 fans for all the guests, as far as I could tell we were about the only guests. The only other place to eat is the next door mill house, which was a much nicer experience but expensive. The outside picture of the hotel on the website doesn’t reflect the reality of the hotel. We laugh about it now but if you are thinking of staying there, I would say, don’t.

Been here a few times before, it’s a stunning building with a big car park in lovely secluded area just off the main road and seconds from the motorway. Has a lovely little stream running behind the building and is lovely to listen to if you’re lucky enough to have a room at the back of the hotel. The inside is nice and clean and nothing is out of place, the staff are polite and professional and the room spotlessly clean and tidy. We had the £9.99 breakfast which I’d highly recommend as it’s so filling and unlimited too. All freshly cooked to perfection and brought out to you in a timely manner. The only downside to the hotel is we woke up in the middle of the night absolutely roasting hot and we hadn’t had the heating on, not sure what the issue was there but other then that all was great!

I had two restful nights in this hotel. The room is spacious, the bathroom was sparkling clean. The room was very comfortable, I didn’t feel squeezed at all. Upon entering the first time the air was humid, so windows needed to be open for the whole evening. There was enough tea and coffee provided but you could just grab replacements from the reception. Staff were super nice, very helpful. Opened breakfast earlier and allowed us to take away in one of the mornings. They have unlimited hot breakfast items, but I would have preferred the classic eggs royale or egg benedict. All together the place deserves 5* because of the good night sleep and my personal preferences about breakfast should not be taken into account here :-) still liked what I got.

My own first and last experience, at Premier Inn, Huddersfield North in the borough of Brighouse. Was unfair, I was not satisfied. At my visit. As I very happy at first, because the location was dissatisfying, because it’s inside of a jungle. And its parking was free. Not like the other Premier Inn’s. But I wasn’t highly satisfied, because of my, Continental Cooked Breakfast, I was handed my receipt/slip I walked to the restaurant. As the room size, was at a great standard. As a fact, the room was old-fashioned and they said there was a buffet, there really isn’t. And to make it worse, they wouldn’t make you pick. You had to ask, even for the plates: it was unbelievable. It was simple unprofessional unmanagement and staff. They were no longer supportive, as the selection of foods were misleading and confusing. Because there wasn’t milk. Until, we asked. And unlike the other Hotels. Such as a Premier Inn I booked in Slough. We didn’t get the time to eat, as it said. And they told us to go very early, as they were making us by a force by putting a vacuum all over the room. It was uncomfortable. There was no fresh air, leading us to bad health. Very risky for health. I wouldn’t suggest this neither recommend. The restaurant and the inside doesn’t look, like it does in the images provided, the restaurant is a bar/pub in the further background. There is the kitchen inside. Only for staff, and there is small dining tables, and food. This hotel deserves a zero star not even one. Never even go near this place, very poor quality service, and staff management. We had to strive for the best experience. But it was very unexpected, as there was inconvenience caused, as they were not bringing attention. They didn’t even know what to do, as all they did was ask for unnecessary things. They were not cooperative at all, but highlighting the warning/disclaimer to all! This place needs to be knocked down, not recommended and suggested. If there was the opinion of giving these a minus/negative I would. The hotel is nothing like advertised. All the outside areas looked like building sites and generally broken down and unkept. Very bad and corruptive issues were caused and...

We have stayed at the PI Huddersfield on a number of occasions and been very pleased with it. Our room this time was at the very top and facing the road. The hotel is now starting to show its age and looking a bit tired in places. The room we had was very big, bit of a weird lay out and looked dated compared to other PIs we have stayed in recently. The TV was really small also again compared to other PIs. The first night we tried to turn on some of the lights in the room, only to find they didnt work. We also found there was hardly any internet connection in the room. We did report both of the issues to reception, to be told these were known issues with the room. As we were staying for nearly a week, why wasn't we put in a fully functioning room? Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. However there was one female receptionist in particular who would ignore us (and other guests). She seemed too interested in her computer and rarely looked up from her screen. I know the staff were going through training for the new system but all the others on duty were happy to help, except this one. We asked for our room to be cleaned after our second night. When we returned, one bin had been emptied but the other full bin had been left. They also had taken our towels from the room and not replaced them with clean ones. As our room was at the front of the hotel, we faced the busy road. We are both light sleepers so found it hard to sleep with the windows open. The windows are double glazed, but shutting them made the room really warm (theres no a/c). We did have a fan but this did little to help cool the room down. We paid for the breakfast which was within the hotel. The breakfast staff were helpful, friendly and polite. They were continually restocking the food and drinks. The cooked breakfast was freshly cooked while we waited, so was nice and hot. Overall we had a nice stay, except the small issues. We just feel the hotel could do with a little TLC now such as updating rooms and cleaning the car park. If you stay and you're a light sleeper, ask for a room...

Booked last minute. Threw our bag in the room and went to the restaurant. We're ignored by several members of staff, finally someone came over, I asked for a table for two, no sorry we're fully booked. I asked if there was anywhere to sit to get a drink and some crisps, again no sorry we're fully booked. Yes I get that they were fully booked but the bar area was empty why weren't we offered the opportunity to wait at the bar to at least get a drink and some crisps I had mentioned but more importantly why were we ignored for so long. They clearly didn't want anymore customers. We went up to our room, on closer inspection there was only one chair for two people. Went in the bathroom and one bath towel and one hand towel , so only one of us could sit down comfortably and only one of us could have a shower. We soon realised there was a holiday Inn nearby, phoned them and booked a room. We left the premier Inn immediately. I complained to reception (the lady on reception was excellent and very understanding). When we got home I emailed premier Inn to ask for a refund and that's where the fun really started. They never seriously acknowledged anything I wrote, all the points I'd mentioned. I eventually asked , after several emails, if they were refusing a refund and I still didn't get a straight answer. We've used premier Inn for years but we'll never go...
