Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton) hotel — Hotel in Cambridge

Convenient location with bus stop outside for short hop to city centre.Sadly thats where the positives end. Having visited this Premier Inn numerous times over the past 8 years, a visit in Sept 25, found that it has hit a new low. Initially allocated rooms 4 & 6 on the ground floor for our 3 night stay. Bathroom in room 4 smelt of urine, even after a re-clean. Moved to rooms 108 & 109. Both rooms tired, defective TV in room 108, blood on all three towels in room 109. Issued internet upgrade for first evening to allow streaming on own laptop with promise of fix next mornings. No fix, no follow up contact and no wifi voucher for second night. Checked out and found another hotel for third leaving me £200 out of pocket. This drab, unmaintained is an indicator of how a once proud Premier Inn brand is going down the drain. Im quite happy with basic but filthy is unacceptable.|PS. the bed wasnt comfy either.|Im happy to discuss further with head office should they wish...

Absolutely awful stay here over Xmas 2024. We use Premier Inn's very regularly but this one is not up to standard at all. No WiFi, dirty bathroom, deliveries arriving outside the window (lorries) at 7.15am (on Boxing Day!!!), intermittent dangerous hair dryer, low water pressure. No staff on hand to convey information - disastrous. Even after complaining to Premier Inn - received a 'cut and paste' response in terrible English, paragraphs all over the place due to the copy and pasting of standard responses. Even after a second complaint with a VIDEO back up of all the issues, Karolina, the guest relation effectively told me to 'go away' and they would not be answering any of my emails in the future. This is a worse issue than the room itself. Good night guarantee? No chance - false advertising.

Good value for money. Room was a bit small but very clean and tidy.Very comfortable mattress, quiet room, very good shower.

Staff very attentive and helpful at the reception. Full English breakfast was good, the continental just ok.Good quality products. The coffee was too watery.

Furniture very scarce, nice but almost no space to leave clothes and personal belongings just an open wardobe and hangers.

Free car park. Bus stop to Cambridge in front of the hotel, very convenient.

Just some minor comments:there was a bible in the room, which is weird in 2019 and could be offesive to some customers. There was no toilet brush in the toilet.

The environmental policy should be clarified to cleaning staff as towels were left in the rack to be reused and everyday fresh new towels were provided.
