I stayed here with my girlfriend over the weekend as part of a wedding party and it was absolute chaos. They had installed a new booking system, which meant about 20 of our party took over 2 hours to check in and this was at 1am (my girlfriend and i were part of the evening and so we checked in mid afternoon, THANK GOD). A few of them I don't think ever checked in as I saw one of them asleep on his bags in the reception at 4am. All were told there was no booking under their name, even though they all had booking references, and had paid for a room! The guy had absolutely no clue what he was doing and to be honest at one point he ran away for about an hour leaving everyone in the reception at 2am with no room and nowhere to go. I was appalled at the way it was handled, and I would be very careful about staying here if you are planning on checking in late. The couple of redeeming features were that breakfast was really good, 7 - 11am and good quality. The shower was also decent but the TV was rubbish and really really slow.

We recently stayed at the Premier Inn in Chelmsford after a long-haul flight from Australia, absolutely exhausted and jet-lagged. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, care, and kindness – all thanks to the incredible Ann.
Despite arriving earlier than check-in time, Ann went above and beyond to ensure our room was ready within 30 minutes. While we waited, she kindly made a cup of tea for both my wife and me – a small gesture, but it meant the world in that moment.
Ann was also wonderful with our two young daughters, giving them colouring sheets and a Curly Wurly each to keep them entertained and smiling. It didn’t stop there – she even helped them create handmade, laminated bookmarks to surprise me with for Father’s Day. A moment I’ll never forget.
Ann’s attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care made us feel not just welcomed, but truly looked after. The service we received was second to none, and she is an absolute credit to Premier Inn. We honestly can’t speak highly enough of her – she was just brilliant.

The staff must have shared their knowledge of our situation amongst themselves at shift changeover to make our stay as comfortable as possible .. including offers and suggestions which improved our stay ... and which encouraged us to twice extend our stay..
