We stayed at the old store guest house for 1 night 16-17 March 2024 in a twin room. The room was lovely very comfortable, all toiletries provided and also a hairdryer too which was handy nice views out the window of the garden and fields. Matt was brilliant and made us feel welcome straight away nothing was too much effort. Breakfast the following morning was lovely we had everything we could ask for. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others 😊

I had a lovely two night stay. The owner is extremely welcoming and also cooks a very fine breakfast. I followed his recommendation to book dinner at the local pub, a two minute walk down the road which was very handy and the food was also great. As a solo traveller I felt very well looked after. Highly recommended.

Used this place whilst visiting the Tinwood estate whereby all 3 lodges were taken. 10 minute walk from Tinwood so well placed. Anglesey Arms pub are just across the road and serve food. Comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast.

Old Store Guest House - Faultless stay with perfect hosts.

Let me set the scene;

I came to the Old Store Guest house in July 2021 along with 9 other family members for my brothers wedding which was in Upwaltham Barns and is around a 5 minute drive away from the guest house! We had all but 1 of the rooms in the guest house and from the moment each of us arrived, we was greeted by the extremely accommodating and kind owner of the Guest House, Matt.

I wasn’t involved in the booking of the Guest House however from what I know and have seen through dealings with other family members, Matt covers all bases and ensures that absolutely everything and more is in place to make sure that everything is as you require from the moment you arrive. Matt provided us with a warm welcome from the first minute, as soon we parked up, he was there to introduce himself and provide us with a guided tour as well as informing us of all the important information about the Guest House and surrounding area - this was all detailed in a handy document that was provided to us upon check in. Being the kind host he was, Matt also spent some time with us making sure we was settled and took the time getting to know us. This can also be said for his partner, Amy, who was equally as pleasant and helpful.

As there was a large group of us and as we was there for a wedding - I’m sure you can imagine that we had some alcohol that required chilling. There is a small fridge in the dining area however, Matt and Amy kindly allowed us to use their fridge located in the garage (More Barn like than garage). This was a great help to us and more importantly, allowed us to enjoy a cold beverage when we wanted! This wasn’t the only circumstance that Matt and Amy went above and beyond, due to the size of our group and the nature in what we was there for, Matt kindly provided us with a hot buffet style breakfast as well as a more than sufficient cold selection - both of which were great and convenient.

I personally stayed in the double room and had no complaints whatsoever. ALL of the rooms are modern, nicely decorated and comfortable. Matt and Amy have really maximised what they have in the Guest House.

As I titled my review, our stay in the Guest House was faultless and despite the hosts, Matt & Amy, being relatively new to the business, they will most certainly continue to provide many guest with perfect stays. Both them and the Old Store Guest house made this truly special family time even more unforgettable.

Thank you...

This place is a little gem. I wanted to stay just outside of Chichester and came across The Old Store Guest House. On arrival there was a off road car park with space for a few cars and I was warmly welcomed by Amy. The room was top floor - be mindful that there are stairs to get to the rooms - and it was such a lovely, cosy setting. There was water, tea/coffee making facitilities, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. There is no food provision in the evening but fortunately there is an excellent pub across the road (The Anglesey Arms) which has amazing food! Breakfast was fantastic and I was very lucky to be the only one staying that night as Matt cooked me a great hot breakfast which is normally reserved for weekend guests. The cold breakfast options we plentiful as well.

I cannot recommend this guest house highly enough and will be returning when I am in...

I stayed at The Old Store Guest House for one night and had a truly enjoyable experience. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.

A standout feature was the breakfast service. Matt kindly prepared my breakfast before 8 a.m. to accommodate my schedule, as I was running the Goodwood Marathon starting at 9 a.m. that morning—a thoughtful touch that made my morning much smoother.

The parking was convenient, with an inner drive yard at the back. The location is another major plus, as it is a calm and peaceful spot only five minutes away from the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

I would highly recommend The Old Store Guest House to anyone visiting the area. Whether for an event at Goodwood or simply a relaxing getaway, this place offers excellent service and comfort.

Thank you for a...
