Let’s start with the positives, quiet location, pretty looking pitches.. at face value. Now for the not so great.. 1. lots of pitches are on the edge of the dusty road that circles the site.. my gas connector pipe is at the rear or my motorhome, meaning I was cooking at edge of the dusty road literally a yard from the passing traffic.. not ideal! 2. The wardens...- I found them to be generally rude, intrusive and abrupt and I was not alone in my views when I spoke to others on site.. sadly the other reviews here show others with similar experiences, which I wont repeat. 3. Ridiculous rules.. 4 of us were in an awning at 10.45 whispering (being totally respectful, no music etc , ) when the warden appeared, seemingly chasing a lost dog which ran into the awning, and told us that it was 2 to a pitch after 10.30 and told me to get back to my pitch! - The warden then proceeded to stand and wait near the pitch to check that I left. As a solo traveller meeting up with friends from the north of the country it was a very frustrating end to the evening. 4- Poor customer service - a month before the booking I had asked I could be located with others In my group but was told that as that hasn’t been requested when we booked it was not possible - they did offer to site me with one friend but then didn't bother to do that. 5. Take your human waste home policy... mmm.. Everything that could be recycled was left on site, but there was no facility for you to leave any non recyclable waste, ie the things you usually put in your black bin - so I had a 5 hour trip home in a warm van with 5 days worth of stinking rubbish- not ideal and not what you expect when you pay £28 per night to effectively park! I won’t be going back and don’t recommend it unless you are asleep by 10.30 and like dusty food. 🤷‍♀️

A perfect quiet adult only site. Surrounded by lovely views over farmland. Dark sky to view the stars at night. Very generous pich sizes all very nicely devised up with natural barriers from hedges to grasses. So all pitches are quiet and not overlooked. Even if the site gers full. Excekent gravsk drive with plenty of passing places takes you from the main road to to to the site. AGravel track runs round the parimiter with mowed grass under sections. Ample shower and toilet facilities that were kept as spotless. And abd z nice washing up area. That also has a microwave, fridge freezer, washer and dryer. Pitches have electric and water tap for easy access too. A honesty hut with local produce is on site. It even has local made icream. Perfect fir hot days. And along side this a information hut with detsiks if local attractions. The site is dog friendly, with lots of bins. A dog walk area. And nay footpaths just off the site, perfect fir dog walks. It's a nice walk from the site to Burton on the water. This was our first visit but we would love to come again.

Cracking campsite. Large spaces that feel private and are well looked after. Lovely people looking after the site. Very friendly and helpful. The toilet, showers, laundry, fridge, freezer, microwave, and even ironing facilities were great. There was also some food and drink for sale. Eggs, sausage, steak, burgers, sweats and some cans of pop. The campsite was very friendly and peaceful. And had lovely bushes and trees between each pitch. The pitch also drains well in heavy rain! As we found out :) Bourton on the water was only a 20 min walk away. Its a pretty little town. Don't rely on google maps to find a pub. Most weren't on it. Also book a restaurant if you are eating out. Don't just turn up.

I'm not sure which site the other reviewers have visited but it's certainly not a 5 star campsite in my opinion!

The approach to the site from the main road is a very long single track. I was concerned in case we met another large camper or caravan as there is just one small passing place.

It does have 53 pitches as stated on their website they are FAR FROM large and spacious.

It has the most bizarre layout i have ever seen. The pics on the website show a large green area with shrubs and bushes separating pitches, giving the impression of plenty of space - these are in a middle cross shaped section - it probably holds about 20 nice secluded pitches.

As we drove onto the site to find our pitch it was very difficult to see any numbers due to the very overgrown shrubs and bushes - the whole site is very unkempt and scruffy.

The pitches are so close to the road that we were able to stop, open up our window and talk to a fellow camper sitting just a foot away from the edge of the road to ask which number they were in order to find our pitch !!

The rest of the pitches are situated along the outer edge of the plot - they sit actually ON THE THROUGHROAD of the campsite which is very dusty!! We were there while it was hot and sunny, every vehicle that went past kicked up an enormous amount of dust which you then are covered in! They are extremely small and definitely NOT PRIVATE in any capacity. They are approx 8m square.

We are in an 8m long motorhome and had to pull in diagonally in order to fit without our bikes (which were on the back) hanging out in the road !! This as it turned out was the best option because if we pulled in longways like most others had we'd have had our feet dangling in the road !! From these pitches all you have left to look at is the hedge at the other side of the very dusty road!!

We saw caravans struggling to navigate onto pitches all the time we were there.

The pitch had easy access to EHU and a water tap - we used the hose on the tap to dampen down the road and reduce the amount of dust we were inevitably going to be covered in :(

We did not use the showers or toilets so unable to comment.

The site is for over 30's which is nice

Dog friendly

It is only a couple of miles into Bourton on the Water - great for cycling or walking.

It is silent after 10.30 and having read other reviews i can see that this is most definitely adhered to due to the grumpy wardens.

The wardens were not very welcoming to us at all. We had to wait behind another motorhome on arrival and could see but not hear the full tutorial they were getting about the site and pitches - When it came to our turn we were told a pitch number and payment was taken! The lady was friendly enough but the male walked off looking like he'd swallowed a wasp. He never once engaged eye contact or managed to say hello during...

Sitting on a hill above Bourton-on-the-Water, Field Barn Park is ideally situated to explore the best that the Cotswolds has to offer. Field Barn Park is a gateway to the Cotswolds' most iconic attractions and hidden gems. From the enchanting sandy-coloured cottages that dot the landscape to the meandering rivers and quaint bridges, every corner of this region tells a story of timeless beauty and rural tranquillity. ||If you're looking for views across the expansive countryside while you enjoy a quiet summer evening, however, this park isn't for you. With clever planting that makes you feel like you're lost in a maze, each extremely generous plot feels secluded and private and this is definitely on the side of a relaxing, quiet campsite, especially given it's exclusively for over 30s. ||Field Barn Park also offers a shower block, washing up facilities, a fridge/freezer and two smaller no-frills toilets at two corners of the plot to save you a walk. If that isn't enough for you, on Saturday's they have an Italian pizza maker visit and you can enjoy a warm, delicious pizza staring up at the stars and enjoying the silence of this blissfully quiet campsite. (Perfect for when you've overdone the rum the night before and am nursing the worst hangover of your life!)||Location wise, there's plenty of country walks and you're a 40 minute walk from Bourton-on-the-Water. Given the touristy nature of this town, I suggest visiting in the very early hours or even not at all if it's the summer holidays! It's without a doubt one of the most beautiful villages, but the small place is overrun in the summer with coach loads of tourists being driven in. The great thing about the campsite, though, is you can pop your head in, grab an ice cream and walk back up the hill to retreat to the peace and quiet. ||If you're looking for a quieter place to visit with some stunning cottages and lovely cafes, try Winchcombe. A thirty minute drive from the campsite, this peaceful town also has a free museum and is famous for Sudeley castle. Even on the weekend, it's easy to find parking and a seat in one of the fabulous pubs.||I highly recommend Field Barn Park as a great location and a superbly run site. Just don't...
