I was checked in smoothly. I then went to the room...and it was a single. So I questioned it, because I'd booked a standard (double or so I thought via a booking platform) The booking platform confirmation didn't really clear up what I had booked. So not sure where the blame lies on this misunderstanding, but a standard room in my mind would be a double. Room was warm with an efficient radiator. The bathroom was more of a wet room (no curtain to prevent the toilet seat or potentially the toilet paper becoming wet). The shower itself was good (2 different shower heads) and a good pressure. The ground floor is accessible for wheelchair use....but outside it's multiple steps to enter the hotel. An oversight. There's a bar with a limited menu. I ate both nights and noticed that the price had increased by £2 over a 2 night stay. I didn't have breakfast but the menu seemed adequate for most. Would stay again. In the parking area there are many many signs about paying for parking.... don't pay immediately when you arrive and pay £5 per night at reception.(You will save money!) Found it odd that the USB charging point was as far as it could be from the bed in the room

I saw better rooms at construction sites and this claims to be a 3 star hotel. Rooms was old, smelly and half of the sockets didn’t work. Bathroom was the worst - it’s a wet room with no shower walls, so after 5 min shower EVERYTHING is wet and you need to stand on a water covered floor or on a pile of wet towels. The bathroom itself is dirty and the water pressure in the so called shower is non existent - probably because higher pressure would mean water would spray on the walls and the whole room would be wet. The shelf is a risk hazard that is badly installed and all my items fell into the sink while I was brushing my teeth - I had to clean everything. No electrical sockets in the bathroom, no proper shampoo or conditioner and what is classified as soap and shower/hair gel is served via badly installed dispenser that are another risk hazard. I’m now reporting this place to our travel agent to makes sure it’s taken off of the list of approved accommodations for our company. And they dared to charge over £100 for this filth. Unbelievable

This is quite an imposing building with a huge carpark. There is a charge per night to use the carpark but as the room rate is so low I think this is very reasonable. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. We never did get to grips with the shower temperature and the sink had a large crack in it but otherwise a good experience. Hairdrier, iron and ironing board in all rooms and plenty of hanging space. I was impressed to see the fire notice in 4 languages. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware that the rooms are on the first floor but there is no lift. It is possible to have your pets stay in your room; look at the hotel information for costs. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Allesley village with access to local amenities such as post office, shop, surgery, hairdressers. The bus route between Coventry and Birmingham runs through the village and is a regular service passing through the airport and NEC.

Massive warning to anyone staying here.

Our van hot broken into overnight and the staff couldn't care less. I had the owner of the business outright laugh at me when I told him.

These guys charged us £10 per van to park in the 'secure' carpark. Didn't stop the thieves and it certainly wasn't the first time. Judging by the staffs reaction, this is something that happens daily.

Seriously do not stay here. The boss is a horror show who instead of showing us any sympathy just laughed it off.

As for our room, it was terrible.

We arrived at 10.30pm, got into the room to find out the shower wasn't working. Called reception, no answer. Had to phone the hotels external number to get someone to come up. 20 mins later, a little guy came up to fix the shower! No tools or idea what to do, so clearly it didn't fix the issue.

Pushed them for another room which was found for us after another 30 mins.

A real mess of a hotel. Our shower had been broken for a long time. Why put us in the room? Incase we hadn't complained I guess.

Anyway, off we go to our new room.

Wake up next morning and I've got a nice selection of bed bites from my nights sleep. Lucky the shower works!

Seriously, I stay in a lot of hotels with work and this one was the worst.

Give it a miss. I'm going to share my review across as many platforms as possible. The business owner has all of my contact details but I still haven't had any apology of offer of compensation regarding our losses.

Beware of this 'quality' hotel. The name doesn't do it any justice!

I'd call it 'the give it...

Stayed for 2 nights with work. Smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Dated carpets and decor, no wardrobe, just a shelf to hang clothes on. Feels like lower budget (with the greatest respect) than a Travelodge but at around twice the price. The room at the front of the hotel was directly facing the dual carriageway which was about 20 metres away. That plus the poorly performing double glazing had the effect of every car whizzing by feeling like I was sat on the hard shoulder, such was the noise level. Paper thin curtains did nothing to blockout the noise or the near 5000watt street lamp shining directly into my room. The paper thin walls did nothing to deafen the noises from guests in other rooms or in the corridors. Consequently I had a very poor night's sleep and woke-up feeling terrible. The restaurant was poor, the menu very limited and the decor and atmosphere was depressing. I felt the need to get out of there quickly or I may never leave. Felt like I was on death row. I found myself staring wistfully and longingly across the dual carriageway at the Windmill Village Hotel directly across the road. The people; smiling, happy to be there, enjoying their time, content, peaceful and appreciated and in nice surroundings. 'Sigh'. I stayed here for two nights. After the first night I even considered leaving and paying to go somewhere else at my own expense, just so I didn't have to suffer again this awful place. The hotel feels unkempt, unhappy and unloved which is how I felt when I drove...

First up, the staff are excellent. A genuinely nice, friendly, helpful team. But the rooms are dated. Both rooms I had were showing their age. Obvious signs of ware & tare. As other reviews have mentioned, the bathroom seems to have a crack in the sink by default. And the bath had been patched in my second room. Additionally the extractor fan was noisy, but this was solved by simply turning off its switch. And there is no way to control the room temperature. This will make getting a good nights sleep quite challenging. The radiator just has the option of on or off. No thermostat head. So windows open, radiator on full chat. But having the window open means noise. I know thats outside of the hotel's control. In the same way that other guests are noisy. So expect to be distributed by doors slamming, othere guests TVs, conversations in the corridors etc. There is free Wi-Fi, but its unreliable. It will drop out a number of times in an evening. But there is great 4G coverage from O2 & BT/EE. As for the the food, all kinds of good. I personally would like a bigger mug for tea in the morning as getting up 3 or 4 times with a small cup is a little tiresome after several days. And the evening menu may seem a little limited, but the food is well cooked, tasty and very nicely presented. So great staff, good food but bedrooms in desperate need...
