I have just spent 5 days in my touring caravan at Seacroft Holday Estate. In truth I have been caravanning for many many years and this is without doubt one of the best sites I have ever visited - if not the best! The pitches are of good size and well spaced with all the amenities ie water, showers etc in close proximity. There are only 10 pitches in what is a large static caravan site but that does not detract from the quality of the experiance. The site is a delight! Well manicured lawns and superbly clean amenities throughout. The staff are welcoming and courteous and it has the benefit of having a superb hostelry (the seacroft bar) which is dog friendly, serves excellent meals at very reasonable prices in a delightful and friendly atmosphere. Within 5 mins walk you can exit the park and be on the promenade and beach heading to Sutton on Sea or Mablethorpe. There is a shop on site. In summary - if you want a peaceful stay in a lovely area of the country, on a beautiful site within 5 mins of the beach that has the benefit of a delightful "pub" with courteous and polite staff you will not be disappointed. Please note it is predominately a static caravan site that caters superbly well for its many residents (who are equally friendly) and as such there are no play areas for children etc, it's not that type of site. It's more suited to a more gentile pace of life. I can highly recommend the site and will hopefully return many more times...
Read moreWe stay at this site a couple of times a year but in August we stay for a week allowing family to join us. My inlaws come down for a few days so we ask if we can have a the closest pitch to the toilets as they are in there late 80s, we also have quite a long caravan so the pitch we get fits our needs. The reception staff always try to accommodate us and on all the occasions my inlaws have stayed they manage to do this for us which we are extremely grateful for. We love it here the site is smack in the middle of Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea you walk through the site up onto the promenade left to Mablethorpe right to Sutton on Sea a lovely walk both ways. The site itself is always kept immaculate .The toilets are very clean the showers are OK a little dark when you pull the curtain across but they are clean. It has a laundry room with washers and dryer and you get the tokens from the shop at £ 2.50 each not too bad either. There is a shop on site which is very well stocked for everything you need I little bit pricey but still very good. The pub and restaurant is a great addition to the site but is also open to the general public the food is great and you can take your dogs in, the restaurant is divided for people with pets and people without but is still a great atmosphere. All in all I would definitely...
Read moreWent to visit dad in sutton-on-sea Thursday 11th April and went to the Seacroft for dinner. |As I started eating mine I said it tasted really strange and not nice. Dad said its just cheap and probably microwaved thats why it tastes nasty. After a quarter of it I felt ill, the taste was too much. It tasted of rancid milk and fish alothough there was no fish in it. |Within the hour I began vomiting at the table continuously, trying to hide it from the other customers by using my pint glass and being as discrete as possible. I had to sit outside where I continued to vomit. Friday night I ended in hospital with food poisoning. Didn't get out until Sunday. |All that happened when the staff were informed I was vomiting and the food was rancid was they gave my dad the money back for my meal and said they would tell their supplier they have a bad batch. Not good enough.|I feel that this needs reporting as its extremely dangerous and my whole weekend with my family was ruined. I am still not very well but am extremely lucky, it could have...
