Very warm welcome by the staff. Well maintained bar/restaurant/toilets. Had the Lasagne/chips special. It was huge and cheesy. Probably a bit too big. Very tasty though. Dog had a wild Boar treat from the canine menu, which he ate in the dog friendly area in the bar. Freshly cooked daily specials available.

It really is fresh fish! Vegeterian options limited but that was one hell of a chip cob(couldn't see the cob for the chips).Definitely going again, very clean and hot water in the toilets👍

Visited as non-residents and made to feel really welcome. Friendly staff and very attentive. Nice outside space to eat. Beer was well kept and best treacle pudding I've had for years!

Food is poor and overpriced. My order of chilli with rice and tortillas at £10.95 was so spicy it was inedible. My husbands steak and kidney pie £8 had undercooked soggy pastry. My meal was exchanged for lasagne, 30 minutes after my husband had finished his meal I received a bubbling dish of cheese with a dried up side salad and 2 pieces of hard garlic bread at also £10.95. The chilli was kept on the menu and when the next table ordered it they were advised it was very very spicy!!! The service is slow and not very friendly. The bar is dog friendly which suits us but we...

Visiting the area to see family. Arranged to have Sunday lunch here. Generally I am not a great fan of traditional Sunday lunch but this was really good. The two fellas had the large beef and large lamb. The ladies had medium. Freshly cooked veg and potatoes. The meats were nicely cooked - not dry but nicely moist. We all followed these up with lemon meringue and cream. With drinks the four meals totalled under £60. I don't live nearby by but more family visits could be arranged just to...

Ordered a gourmet burger.. 7 ounce homemade burger in a brioche bun RECEIVED 2 thin burgers, previously frozen, in a basic bun NO prawns for prawn cocktail. If they don’t have the items on the menu then PLEASE inform the customers when they order ..such a disappointment. I said I would not go back when we had very bad service 2 years ago, I was asked by friends to join them, wished I hadn’t bothered..another disappointment..sad as this is very local...
