Well, all I can say is we could have stayed at The Farmstead forever, so much so we decided to stay an extra night when we arrived! The lodge was so cosy & inviting as soon as we walked in. We stayed in the 2 bed lodge and it was beautifully decorated and spacious. It was equipped with everything you would need & more! Lots of blankets were provided & a water bowl for the dogs.
We were very grateful for the lovely welcome gifts that were left. We had a locally baked sourdough loaf, homemade brownies, wine, butter & not forgetting the doggie treats!
We spent a lot of time outside on our private veranda enjoying the beautiful views and peaceful countryside. We loved the fire pit for the evenings!
Lots of garden space for the dogs to explore (not enclosed) along with different walks to explore straight from your lodge. Dog friendly pubs/restaurants also within walking distance. We ate at the Chequers Inn which was dog friendly and had lovely food. The outside & inside freestanding baths were an absolute dream to get into at the end of the day. This was definitely a highlight for us!

Read moreFrom the moment we pulled up at the lodges, we knew it was going to be a special weekend. ||It really feels like you’re in a little piece of heaven. ||Upon arrival at our lodge we were greeted with a lovely welcome hamper of goodies , all from local producers: including the yummiest butter I’ve ever had. ||Everything has been well thought out and no expense spared when it comes to the furnishings. The grind coffee machine was a big hit!||Another big surprise was the fully equipped utility area with washing machine/dryer. For those staying longer than a weekend, this is super handy!||We had a two bedroom lodge which both came with en-suites. The highlight for me was the free standing copper bath in the bedroom, overlooking the fields. If one wasn’t luxury enough, we then found a second copper bath outside on the veranda!! Absolute heaven. ||When the sun dipped, we couldn’t wait to get the log fire on inside for the children to snuggle by as well as the fire pit outside for the adults whilst we sipped our wine!||The lodges really are faultless and we created some beautiful memories during our stay. ||Can’t wait...
